ok, I'm a 40 year old metalhead who grew up on Helloween, loved Kiske, but find Deris has a much better metal voice and a great range. I will be a Helloween fan 4evr, their latest cd is AWESOME!
I’d have to say my personal favorite era was the 94-01 era. Those 4 albums (Master, Oath, Raw and Dark Ride) hold up perfect with Walls of Jericho. And the newest S/T release holds up with those 5.

No kick ass, Deris's era in Helloween isn't even power metal, most too heavy heavy metal, Kiske's era is best, this album is overrated, like dark ride is quite too heavy, i don't like so much Deris's era, i like Kiske's era and also Hansen's era bests

This was the first CD I bought from Helloween, and I still love it today. I believe this album was underestimated. It's ok though, because just about everything from Helloween is great.
The Dark Ride was a realy good album, not just for Helloween but for entire heavy metal world,and about last 3 albums Rabbit Don't Come Easy and Keeper Of The Seven Keys:The Legacy sucks but Gambling With The Devil is not too bad

i feal i could have made a better video. altough i do realy like alot of the camera shots effects with the fan and fire.i did apritiate the atempt to put in the seens in the desert and people walking. it could have been moore difinitve of nostradomus and the quatrains. well maybe i shouldnt say better ill say i could have done moore. but i do apritate youtime and budjet consrtainst. i would recomed that when there coming up with song i deas they hire an illistrator that will be very handy

Love this song, honestly, I dont understand why so many hate on Deris, I mean, seriously, considering most people dislike PBGA and Chameleon, or however its spelled, that means majority of "Kiske is god" fans only listen to 2-3 out of 13 albums.....all for a man who not only hasnt been in Helloween for over 15 years, but has had nothing good to say about them and has dissed Metal Fans, which includes his whole fanbase, for years now. @RRtradestar I'll tell you who is shot. The last priest show i went to was the saddest thing i ever saw. The whole band including halford were dragging their asses around the stage. Maiden however is better than ever, and dickinson still performs like he is in his 20's. Bruce's voice does sound a little strained now, but maiden has been holding up much better than priest lately.
I'm kind of tired of people comparing everyone to everyone else. Bruce dickinson is shot, he never was a very good singer in the first place. Michael kiske is also another case. he was good but i dont think anyone can say he was the best metal singer seeing as that title went to Rob Halford. and andi deris is a phenomenal vocalist or i should say was. . he has to admit he's shot and really cant sing anymore. i saw them live in 08 with gammaray and kai hansen just blew them away.
I think that dude was long ago and I love every song with Andi Deris.Just the band moved on and playing again awesome songs and fucking good concert now Kiske sucks his solo albums doesn't even come close to what he can do and now the helloween line up is one of the best with amasing musicians.I feel sorry for such fans who after 20 years and maybe more want Kiske to be back just enjoy the music it's still metal!
Actually I prefer to listen progressive rock or progressive metal. I don't like too much to listen to Helloween. But I think that is a real stupidity to say something bad about the band. My brother listen Helloween all the day. And the quality of the songs are real great. Helloween is a style , is not a fking copy of style of an older band. It must be stated here that a lot of bands copies Hellowen's style.
Michael Kiske has a great voice; that's for sure, but face it, HE IS NO MORE IN THE BAND years ago!!!! Now, if you don't like Deris, then don't buy the new albums and don't go to the shows. Kiske has spent a lot of time and talent doin' some bad albums and great apereances like in Avantasia and Masterplan. There's useless to compare Michael and Andi, or anybody else, every musician has their good and bad things, what we can do is enjoy or not.

The voice is not only "4 octaves, 3 octaves etc.", is interpretation, is colour, there are harmonics etc.. kiske sing low and high notes, but in the low where is harmonics in his voice? Metal is one of the best music in the world with jazz, blues, opera and rock, but get rid from the clichè, please.....

Managed to catch them on every tour since Dark Ride. I have no issues with Deris as a vocalist. Last gig was rubbish as the sound levels didnt work and you couldnt hear the vocals. Deris is good. Kiske was good. If you dont like Deris dont listen to modern Helloween chucklehead.

Managed to catch them on every tour since Dark Ride. I have no issues with Deris as a vocalist. Last gig was rubbish as the sound levels didnt work and you couldnt hear the vocals. Deris is good. Kiske was good.
If you dont like Deris dont listen to modern Helloween chucklehead.
great video ,fantastic song, and this band just getting better with ¨gambling with the devil¨, but most of the so call rockers now in the USA don¨t konw HELLOWEEN because they so brainwash with the trends of bands like slipsnob,timberfag,spears,suckernova,metalicaca, etc.

Well put. It's two different era's, both quiet different from themselves. Plus Kiske isn't ever going to come back and he isn't into metal at all. But Deris seems to be apart of it, so take it or leave it. We'll be happy either way.

Thats true the golden era of American metal was about 1985-1992 for that and then no new great metal bands were formed. We need someone to arise and own lives who isn't nu-metal trash and or grindcore, metalcore shit as well.
