What was this tillage pass for? The ground looks the same before and after. I see there isnt a harrow behind this to smooth/pack. Just wondering. Great machine, I subscribed.
My uncle didn’t know I had a TH-cam channel and chiseled the ground before I knew about it. We just wanted to test our cultivator and give the Panther 1000 a light workout. 😁 I just saw your video on you painting your versatile last night. Nice job! Takes a lot of work to strip and paint a tractor as big as that. 👍
Yea... I've never seen a clutch that can't be feathered, powershift or not, if it's adjusted correctly. I've operated many powershift tractors and never had that kind of outcome. Someone needs to fix that before someone gets hurt. That's Dangerous! 🤬
I'm having the same clutch issue with my 1325. Replaced the cable because it was definitely binding and adjusted everything exactly according to the manual and it still jumps. Seems to be a little better once the oil warms up.
From what I was told from some mechanics that have worked on Panther 1000's have said there is no real way to adjust that clutch on the Panther 1000. We have tried to adjust it many times but it's the computer that is either engaged (meaning it will go 100% and jump) or not engage (meaning it will go slowly). Every Panther 1000 owner I have talked to have said they could never adjust the clutch and it always jumps. The panther 1000 was one of the first if not THE first power-shift tractor and the jumping was a problem of the Panther 1000.
@@TheSteigerChannel Panther 1000 was built in 1986. The John Deere 4020 power shift was built in 1963. The Ford 6000 Select-O-Speed, the first Power Shift was built in 1961. The designer/engineer of the Select-O-Speed told Ford it was not ready to go into production, it needed 12 more months to work out some issues. Ford let him go. He went to John Deere and they built the Power Shift. Ford sued and lost.
@@jackbraithwaite8345 The Panther 1000 was introduced in 1982 and ended in 1986. What I meant was the Panther 1000 was one of the first power shift tractors with an advanced computer system in a big 8WD tractor behind Big Bud. The computer system in the Panther 1000 was not the best which had problems like throwing codes and not shifting and also the hard clutch release. It was not the best system but it works.
Good to see that steiger back doing what it's supposed to be doin
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO 😊
👍👍 that's a nice tractor... wish we had one around here

If it was in the ground different story
that is a very unsafe tractor and should be taken out of service before it hurts someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol in farming today's world..
32' is small equipment.
I 100% agree with you!
