Rutina was just great. I think this is the first interview that I've heard from her and it's so great to get an idea of the great person she is behind the great performances
This was when the show was at its peak, that despite all the supernatural aspects, it was still so mundane at heart. This show introduced me to Rutina Wesley, and her performances left me in awe a lot of the times. Stunned even.. She's the reason started to watch Queen Sugar. I'll be honest, I wasn't happy with the entirety of the show.. By the last season, it completely went off the rails for me.. But it endures because when it was good, it was GREAT, and part of that is because we were spoiled with so many phenomenal actors and performances.
You know I realized if midnight sun had been actual spinoff I think it would have done so much better than it had. I wish now too they had done a New Blood spin off too. I just miss this show so much. It drives me crazy HBO doesn't do some type of True Blood based show.

Rutina is a super solid actress. Quite underrated I might add. Looking forward to this.
