Another benefit of the SFS extended slide stop: As a lefty I've always used my left trigger finger to operate the mag release and the slide stop. The SFS slide stop makes this much easier because I can just place a larger part of my trigger finger (not just the tip as in most slide releases) and and press down. Whether you're a lefty or a righty, the SFS slide stop is a bigger target to hit in a hurry and makes working the slide in a much easier.

I’ve found the normal length slide stop adequate for me and I’m a lefty as well. Having to use my trigger finger for the slide release and the mag release is a pain, so an Ambi mag release is a must for me.

Love the looks of that slide stop, ordered one for a Practical. Have both of the Arcus pistols as well and like the full size 94 a lot. It's a beat up surplus but looks cool and shoots great. The compact Mark III is harder to shoot accurately. Wish I would have bought more when the gettin was good.

I've, personally, nicknamed Mr. Browning as "The Maestro". Dieudonne Saive is "The Acolyte". To be sure Mr. Saive became a master, in his own life.

What we really need is a slide stop that will not lock open before the magazine is empty because of modern thumb placement which controls recoil. There is no need for the firing side hand to drop the the slide stop. That is done with the support hand as the magazine is seated. The firing side thumb stays on top of the safety.

Is premature slide stop with a round still in the mag likely your thumb engaging slide stop? I have a new hi power (to me) and shot 150 rounds through it with 3-4 premature slide stops

You have mounted a Picatinny adapter on the High-Power. As I have a High-Power myself, I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Can you give me a tip on where I can get one? Thank you

What kind of grips are those that have the rail on that pistol??

The hammer on the SFS is butt ugly, and spoils the lines on one of the most elegant pistols of all time.

I am not understanding something tremendously. I have worked with that SFS system before. On both occasions when I would put the safety on it would drop the hammer. Has something changed in the way they made that system. Because I don't want to manipulate the gun some goofy way to reach back and push the hammer down. That doesn't mean I won't do it, but I shouldn't have to considering I have seen that system work just fine by flicking the safety on. Just like you would normally do to make the firearm safe. I am not worried about carrying a firearm cocked and locked. I don't care what other people think. Every police officer that carries a Glock carries it cocked and it doesn't have a safety on it at all. That little plastic lever on them Glocks does absolutely nothing. It doesn't stop the gun from firing should you drop it it doesn't do a damn thing. It is there to make people feel good. I still can't figure out why these police departments have gotten away with carrying firearms with no safeties on them. And not been sued up the wazoo.
