    What a fantastic and straight to the point examination process. Very clear accent with an excellent speed of speech. Truly a very good job. Congratulations.

    Thank you,
    I was amazed by the examination videos for the other system ; however, the MSK exam videos are lacking a lot of special tests

    at 4:32, is it more appropriate to have the arm in 90 degree of abduction and then apply downward pressure on the upper arm to test for supraspinatus strength?? When you have the extremity in starting position, it will be much weaker and cannot attain its optimal strength. correct me if i am wrong

    For external rotation- med student should push the arm and patient should hold the force (isometrically), not vice versa.
    (m. infraspinatus et m. teres minor)

    Hi! Great video. I would also suggest performing jobe's test for supraspinatus, external rotation for infraspinatus and teres minor and apprehension test. Other tests for impingement are neer's test and hawkings test. Also consider the scarf test for the acromioclavicular joint.

      no and again no. This is basic medical examination not some eccentric physiotherapy exam.

    Do I really need to do the passive rom even though he did the active with no problem?

    • @R0b0ticHam
      @R0b0ticHam 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Passive Range of Motion can give you some information about how the joint space feels as you move it through range. Although not completely necessary from a medical stand point, if a person can do full active range of motion, with over pressure at end of range all pain free - they are generally considered "clear".
