I agree. Ray is georgeous here. He had so much sex appeal. Not handsome in a conventional sense but he had a certain aura. I think he had more than just mere good looks.

@@helencampbell2064 yes, I agree, I think he’s very sexy. Not drop dead gorgeous, but he’s definitely on top of my list. 🤩

@@julenepegher6999 Yes, definitely at the top of my fantasy list. In the beginning I thought Dave was the better looking brother but I thought Ray had more sex appeal...and more talent🤭. Sorry Dave. The front men in the original rock bands always stole the limelight. It was important they had sex appeal and a man doesn't have to be handsome to have that as you know. The Kinks were a wonderful band. Nobody depicted working class life in their songs better than The Kinks. The videos on u-tube bring back wonderful memories of the Kinks.

@@helencampbell2064 yes absolutely, memories. I loved them since I was eight years old. I like them more than the Beatles. 🤭

@@julenepegher6999 I preferred the Kinks to the Beatles too. I never thought the Kinks received the recognition they truly deserved even though Ray is now a Sir and rightly so. I was fifteen when I bought my first Kinks record. You really got me. Ray's voice really suited the track.

Bob Harris Ray and Dave Dee in red. Not sure who the other two are.

That's not Dave Dee, who was well out of BBC favour by that point. The guy to the left of Ray is Richard Williams, original host of the Old Grey Whistle Test.

Looks very like Dave Dee to me. Any idea who it is if you think otherwise?

@@RusselTarr1....it very much is David Harman (Dave Dee). He was an A & R man for a record company at this stage in his career.

    He attempted suicide that year

@@VillaTeyeCatleya weirdly, he's wearing the same shirt he was in when it happened, in this interview (there are photos of the concert he did it at)
