    The clear part on the glasses are there so you can get prescription lenses put in them which then clip in behind the main lenses.

    I bought a set of RockBros photochromatic lenses essentially so I could have cheap pair of clear glasses for night riding. I also wear them when doing trailwork and overall for $20 have been really happy with them. I still prefer my Oakley's but for the price the Rockbros are pretty damn good.

    • @Asthbendriel
      @Asthbendriel 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also have a set of Rockbros photochromic glasses and man, for the price they're actually really good, I'm surprised on how well they transition from clear to dark, I use them for my rides and so far haven't had a problem at all.

    I really like the crank brothers mini pump. It is super light, compact and has a high volume setting plus a high pressure setting.

  • @mtbboy1993
    @mtbboy1993 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    never get a handpump without a hose. mounting a pump directly can damage the valve stem, also holding it like this is fatiguing, and sometimes the levers are just there to hurt you. some pumps also are painful to hold and pump. so some pumps are torture devices, or work out equipment. I have a Lezyne Alloy Drive, it's simple, cheap and works well, but no pressure gauge.
    for digital portable compressor I recommend Fumpa, I have it in my backpack in the tool compartment, but battery time is not long, so you need to recharge it after 2-4 uses. but it does the job for you, so you won't be fatigued, and it's much faster too. their support is great too, I have a pump back from repair on the way. when the first pump I got got a crazy pressure gauge, they made sure the shop replaced it under warranty.

    My 10c - You need a multi tool with a chain break. Very useful to fix a chain or shorten the chain to become a single speed if you case the detailer. Also add a couple of master links in your trail kit. Instead of a mini-pump. Get one that supports CO2, it being able to achieve desired pressure is key to not flatting again. Especially if you race. It's worth buying the CO2 canisters because it's not you every day pump it's just for emergencies.

    2 things I found on amazon that are amazing, but some what expensive.
    1. Lezyne High volume micro floor drive pump, Small enough to mount on your bike(has the same mount as the one in this video), and It works great for MTB tires but also does well with my Gravel bike tires (90ish psi).
    2. Dynaplug Amazing tubeless repair/plug kit. High quality and light, has different styles and sizes of kits. I have a pill that has Mega plugs in it. It is expensive, but seems to be one of the best tubeless repair kits out there.

    I refuse to spend $$$ on big brand names for sunglasses. Had two pairs of Oakley's stolen; spendy sun-glasses ask for disasters or theft. And i diversify when it comes to my miscellaneous category of bike stuff; get my riding gloves (summer or winter) from the hardware store as I do the fine-grit sand-paper for my brake rotors.
    My local bike shop is really only useful for repairs or tune-ups; they have less and less little bits one Needs for various parts of your bike. They didn't have tubeless sidewall patch kits; I'll just order some from Amazon or give one of the other shops a gander. Besides, the shop's turned into a 'Bro Shop' so, new shop shopping i go...

    Why do so many people disparage Chinese products? You obviously don't realize just how shallow that makes you. We live in a GLOBAL economy. I have MANY American products that have nothing but problems, including my 2018 RAM Rebel. Yet my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe (Korean) has had only 2 issues in 10 years. That says something. American products cost more because of corporate greed, not because they're made better. I just ordered custom carbon rims from Lightbicycle for $900 for my gravel bike. No way I'd pay Roval or Enve price gouging just to have huge sticker advertising on them. It's all about EGO, unfortunately.
