Gone are the complicated apps and instead, here are the MIDI control features from the Streamdeck software. You can even record one instrument and change its articulations as your record. For basic controls/shortcuts I'm interested to know how using a Streamdeck is any quicker than just clicking though logic menus, since it seems that you still have to cycle through various folder layers to get to the commands you want? Isn't the number of options on one "page" - even on the XL - too limited? I would have thought it was preferable to have a large touchscreen with Meatgrid or Composer Tools so that you can fit 40+ commands per page, so you're doing much less cycling through pages? What are your thoughts? Thanks.
Hi Matthew. The Streamdeck profile has been refined a lot since this video. I use it to change articulations in sound libraries. This is very useful mid recording, e.g. a violin playing pizzicato then arco.
There is a pinned comment with access to V2 of this profile along with a video. Do check it out. There’s no longer any need to create apps that slow down the process. The Streamdeck software has also given access to lots of midi tools so you’re able to customise so much more too!

If so, the updated version of this video (and Streamdeck profile) work in any library, MAC or PC and in any DAW where MIDI note input is accepted via the Streamdeck. Hi Euan, it doesen't work for me! the 80% of the function doesen't work, the rest even don't respond, i have the 10.6.1 version of logic, how can i fix it?
Hi Alessandro, I’ve made a V2 of this which removes the need to install the apps. th-cam.com/video/Eb5lHHJYVXo/w-d-xo.html. Using the Streamdeck software it can trigger MIDI messages instead of using mouse macros. This makes the file size small and the functionality quick. Combine V2 with the logic keyboard map and you’ll have the full functionality. Don’t forget to install the logic keyboard command file for this to work too. I hope this helps.

Hi Peter, no you didn't. This is for a fully-custom streamdeck control of the Hybrid BBC Symphony Orchestra Template that Spitfire designed for the BBCSO sound library. I'm in the process of improving it for the new release of Logic Pro X, the new BBC Symphony Orchestra tiers (Discover, Core and Pro) and the Streamdeck XL and I should have it ready in a week or two, so subscribe and keep tabs on when that announcement comes on my socials.

It doesn’t just open the programme, but a full key press suite. Did you get it to work? It works with the standard Elgato.
