I stepped away for a few months partly because of burn out and because I hated playing for a while, but looking to get back into it starting with this
This was supposed to be something small but it ended up asking for more of my time
(Also I had horrible input lag during this and am definitely not this bad, I promise)

Hey! Thanks for listening; could you clarify what you meant by “upright”? I know it must be “not synth” but I wanted to understand this better
My guess is, you expected the bass to be played from the violin and be a little more thick?
@@RxAsus I was making a joke. An Upright Bass is a string instrument in the same family as a violin (it's also called a double bass or just a bass) and like its name suggests it plays lower notes. The reason it's called upright is because of the position it takes (where you might hold a violin over arm resting between your face and shoulder, a Bass will sit on the floor straight up (or upright)
Anyways, what you were using for a lot of the lowest notes sounded like a synthesizer usually called a bass not just because of the pitch of notes it normally plays (though many will play higher pitched notes), but also because the role it plays in a song is usually the same sort of role a bass or bass guitar might play, where it's there to help define the music with an overall idea or feeling while not being the standout feature.
Anyways, it was just meant to be a slightly funny play on words because you had an electronic instrument played with an acoustic instrument (even if you were using virtual instruments the violin is emulating an acoustic instrument and the electronic instrument isn't emulating anything)
Also, if you knew about all of the instrument stuff, then ignore that. I just tend to over explain things
