Ironically I have the same car and year, I’m looking into why my car is loud and from what I’ve read it’s because of the front left engine mount (at 1:03) Did replacing that have any effect of quieting within the cabin?
This particular car had a bad front and rear mount. The LH (front left / main) mount wasn’t completely broken, but it was worn and got replaced anyways. Because of this, the change was slightly noticeable, but not significant. If that mount is broken, you will most likely notice a significant improvement. That is the main engine mount. If it’s broken, you will absolutely notice more noise. When that mount is broken it makes a kind of “rumble” noise as opposed to excessive vibrations. That rumble will for sure increase cabin noise significantly.
