"It's not over yet." Amazing how a simple sentence like that and a confident smile can bring so much joy. Years waiting for news about Mudvayne and yet, Ryan told something that says nothing but at the same time, says a lot. Made my day.
Incredible style on this man. Ryan's contribution to Mudvayne was at least 50% of the appeal for me. At least through TEOATTC. After that I couldn't hang with Chad and Greg's vibe anymore. Ryan inspired me to become a better bass player in so many ways. Inexplicable ways. I loved learning the LD50 bass parts. I want to see him in something incredible again and I'm surprised he's not already there.
It make me so happy to see him say that Mudvayne is not over yet. I remember him talking in previous interviews, and he really longed to be back making music with those guys again. His attitude here is more positive about it, and I can't wait to see/hear what happens next. I also couldn't agree more with Ryan's advice on appreciating, at least, other genres of music, and learning something from all of it. You can't progress as a musician without that open-mindedness.
So glad i heard him say that mudvayne is not over yet, phew i was begining to worry. I met ryan before and hes one of the coolest guys ever and the best bass player imo.
When I first heard the bass on LD.50 it was the push that got me into wanting to play bass. Holy Fuck those bass lines, riffs, and slaps are out of this world.
Okay Mr Martinie, first let me say that you are a most excellent artist. The fact that you appreciate several genres, and are talented enough to transcribe these differences stylistically, create an appreciation in me. I love your comment that you pay attention to how music "makes people move". You move me. = )
I had a short talk with Ryan on the open day of Warwick, he told me that Mudvayne isn´t over, there will be a new Mudvayne Record. But he didn´t told me when this will happen
while I kind of agree, I do understand as I do the same thing (I get nervous when put on the spot and my brain goes from one thing to another to another to another to another so I say "uhh" a lot while I try to gather my thoughts)
What if they've got some really bad blood and one day they say they're going to have a tour to release the new album but instead start having a fight to the death on stage and the last man alive gets up covered in blood to say "Now it's over".
"It's not over yet."
The most wonderful words I've heard in my life.
"It's not over yet."

Dan Bolek NO ^
Dan Bolek
not a chance
Dan Bolek not even close, distortion and sloppy playing does not make you the best
Hell yeah he is if not the best top 3 for sure.
I like how deep his voice is.
Ryan is also one of my biggest musical influences, and I'm happy when he's happy. :-)

I'm glad he's not narrow minded like most metalheads.
Ld50 got me playing bass.
Thanks, Ryan. Now release a sig model.

What virtuoso musician is this humble?
Very cool!!! It's not about the genre-it's about the groove. And Ryan does groove!!!

this guy seems so fuckin smart
Coming up on 5 years. Hope to see Mudvayne come back soon. Ryan, you are awesome by the way
Well, it happened, after 8 years...
He is a really nice person, very smart guy
He reminds me of Dj Tiesto in this video!
His new nickname is "Popeye", because he could crush coal into diamonds with those forearms.
Ohh... Thank God! Mudvayne is not over yet. These are the words of Ryan Martinie! We hope you back! Just put this fucking band on ours life again.
Tony? That's me! Hi Ryan! :D

Yeah he really is
remember when we tripped in Disneyland Ryan ?
He probably gets bothered about mudvayne more than anyone else
FFFUUUUCCCKKKKK.... its not over yet!!! thanksssssssssss!!!!
Mudvayne is not over yet!!
If Mudvayne reforms, I seriously hope they pick up a skilled guitar player
It's not over yet. I hope so, but what about Gregg quiting HellYeah while Chad stays in that crap?
Twit. On uh... Tweeter.. lmao
I like him, but his frequent saying of uh or um kills the interview
while I kind of agree, I do understand as I do the same thing (I get nervous when put on the spot and my brain goes from one thing to another to another to another to another so I say "uhh" a lot while I try to gather my thoughts)
MUDVAYNE!!!!! YESS!!
What if they've got some really bad blood and one day they say they're going to have a tour to release the new album but instead start having a fight to the death on stage and the last man alive gets up covered in blood to say "Now it's over".
That sounds like something that could only happen in a shitty anime
