I once had an issue with a mouse and I had no hesitation in enjoying an Agatha Christie moment with some poison. Seriously, if you don't eliminate them, they multiply and the shameless wanton creatures will eat your Birkins. They have zero conscience. On a more cheerful note, your friend's outfit was brilliant! Absolutely first class and he has the body to carry it off too!

You would get into the met for free even without a membership although it does provide savings in the gift shop. As long as you can prove you live in ny state they can only ask you to donate something for admission, and you don't even have to do that. They actually got sued a while back for forcing residents to pay admission because it is a publicly funded museum. Another pro tip, go through the side entrance on the left to get in faster.

It’s 6:15 am in Las Vegas and I’m watching Cassie tell the story of the murder in her NYC apartment while I’m trying to work from home… needless to say, no work was happening. Only squeaks and giggles about the mouse intrusion. I found it hilariously funny but also stressful as I would have died if I saw a mouse in my home! You handled it well girl! Your experience reminded me of the time when I also saw said intruder at my previous workplace. I discreetly called the office for assistance. My feet didn’t touch the ground until I left at the end of the day. 🙃 I was just like the lady in the cartoon that I’d watched as a child. I was screaming inside. Regarding the visitor, as an unsolicited suggestion, I would look over your apartment and try to identify points of entry. Ie: exposed plumbing in bathroom/kitchen/under sinks/dishwasher; pull out lower kitchen drawers to find holes. Behind refrigerator as well.
Maintenance probably could & should place a few traps to collect any potential friends before and entry points are sealed. But, depending on your comfort level, you could do it yourself 🫡
