    The fabric-tape/ties measurement is half as long as it needs to be. I came back to the video to see how I messed up when cutting the fabric and I didn't. The number is half as much as it should be. An easy mistake to make. It should be 5 cm X 112 cm/ 2” X 44” I have sewn lapels of a dress upside down, sew wrong side to right side (multiple times), sewn pockets backwards on a pair of shorts and I have handsewn a project to myself. Sewing and math are tricky to get right all the time. 😅

      Thank you for that! (Wish there was an easy way to correct things in videos after uploading them 🙈)

      @@HeyViviLondon Is it possible to change it in the description? That would also work. No worries about mistakes, we all make them. 😊 That's why I made sure I wrote about my MANY mistakes. Mistakes is how we learn. 😁I didn't even talk about my cooking mistakes! Hoo! That would take several paragraphs! 😂😂 And the way to become a great gardener is to kill a lot of plants before the person learns how to keep them alive.

      @@HeyViviLondon Oh, and thank you for the tutorial. The headscarf I made is adorable. 🥰 I wanted something I could use to show of a piece of embroidery I just finished and your headscarf project was perfect way to do so.

    Just made this with a lace ruffle sandwiched between the fabric and it turned out SO cute! My dog, Sprout, is loving her new bandana! Thanks for the correction of measurement in the comments

    Thanks so much, I'm so glad I found this video. I like to wear head coverings daily for prayer, I like this type of style the most. I was over complicating it before but now I see it's easier than I thought to make my own.

    I’m not sure if I misunderstood something but doesn’t the long piece need to be much longer than 56cm ?🤔 because 56 cm is just the diagonal of my triangle but not enough to have those straps left and right you use to tie it around my head 🙈

      I am wondering the same thing. Something just isn't right about that measurement.

      I just finished making the bias tape and realized the same thing.... its waaaaayyy too short. I would say you need about double the diagonal length. Gonna try it and hopefully that works

    • @zaynabbrown7619
      @zaynabbrown7619 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I did double it and it worked quite well.

      I had the same issue. So I looked at the written measurements in her description. It does say to cut 2 pieces of fabric 2" x 22". So I guess you're supposed to sew them together to form one long strip? But she doesn't show that part in the video. And I would think that would make it harder to run the fabric thru the bias tape maker. Why not just cut one 44" long strip instead?
