This song is about self-love empowerment…following your own path and not listening to haters. Take your trash and build upon it to improve yourself. Raise your own flag no matter what people will say negatively of you and do not be dictated by those people.

Definitely this is the turning point for our boys. They blossomed after PABLO wrote this song and, according to the 4 boys, explained to them what it meant - to be accept yourself and to be proud of what you can accomplish… even if you know you aren’t the best at it, whatever you produce is worth it if you have your best while doing it. This made me an instant A’Tin. To me, I saw at once how these boys were also telling us Filipinos to raise our flag. ❤💯🇵🇭

Thank you for reacting to this 🔥 music video. PABLO wrote this song. Stell did the whole choreography, with a little help from Ken and Josh. Justin was the creative director of this mv.
I highly recommend checking out their Round Festival live performance of this song 😊

The word "FATHER" means the God Almighty. Expressing how they need God in all their journeys. Philippines as a religious country.

This can be compared to Bohemian Rhapsody with the beat switch.

Yes, the lyrics has a lot of messages. SB19 when they were starting they had a lot to prove because this kind of genre was not fully embraced in the Philippines music industry. Many had doubted them. Many discouraged them that they will not succeed. The word Father and amulet signifying God/Prayers as their amulets to fight this battle and journey to be recognised, anger or rage are not the response towards the haters and to those who don't believe. WHAT? has plenty of messages if we have to dissect the song. They been bashed, some press put them down and humiliated them in some of their interviews in the beginning of their career. So I guess when Pablo wrote this song he had emotional upheaval, where he had a lot to say to the general public. Watawat is Flag in English, they just want to send a message that whatever your predicament in life be proud of who you are and always believe in yourself. Raise your flag so you'll be recognised. That is the 20% meaning of the song. I hope I can be of help to you 😊

Since you like SB19 so much, you might really like Alamat!! They're another P-pop group, but every member is from a different region of the Philippines so they all speak different languages besides Filipino/Tagalog. They incorporate a lot of pre-colonial Filipino culture (since we were colonized by Spain for 300 years and the US for 50). They have some really, really good songs!! Dagundong is their latest which is about Filipinos fighting against colonialism, but they have a lot of other more R&B tracks that are so good

If you want to know more about the boys, please watch and react to Cashual Chuck's SB19 Documentaries Episodes 0-6. He also has "What Nobody Understands About" series for each member.

I believe the croaking thing that Ken's doing is technically called a "vocal fry". 😄

Have you reacted to Pablo’s and his brother Josue’s (pronounced Hos-weh) Determinado and Akala? Pls react to them. Watch first their lyric visualizer and then watch their live performance in Rappler or APAC Predator League.

IMO, The Rappler one is much better than the APAC one. The one from APAC had the music from the live band drowning their voices. Mic volume too low
