I like the little references they make to the actual games. The Temjin's bomb + watari dash + rifle shots, and the little jumps that they have to make to regain the lock on the target. Brings back good memories of the arcades. Awesome.
Virtual On is so underrated. I LOVE those guys!
「ROLLING START♪」
LOL! Rollinnnng Starrrrrttt! Hahahahaha.
That was a cute little cameo.
I love the Virtual On mechs in this game. The music, the quotes, those little whirring sounds they make, they're freaking awesome.
And then HATSUNE MIKU popped up in one of them in UX and I was glad.
Although they didn't play much part in plot besides being comic characters, the addition of Virtual On team really added a lot of flavor into the game. An unexpected, yet nice move on Banpresto's part.
"In the Blue Sky"
It's Temjin's theme from the first Virtual On on Saturn and arcades.
These three are epic. Especially Hatter and his "ROLLING STAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRT~!"
i love the virtual on units are fast and
powerful.
Some say, it is heavily hinted that the VO units are actually being controlled by us, gamers, in another dimension and that the mecha was taken straight out of the game into SRWA's world. Literally a game within a game!
That is total ownage...Just hearing the music brings back all those memories of Virtual On! Temjin is AWESOME!
ROLLING STAAAAAAAAAART~!!
Rolling Start! I love Daytona USA too! xD
XD i remember having so much fun with the arcade machine, gave you the feel of what a prolly low quality real mech would be like
Bahaha, Apharmd does a jump-cancel AND a quickturn in his special sequence, that's so great!
SRWK has Virtua On units also. They also included the whole Tangram Scenario for a mission, and they go all out in that; You have to fight Tangram, Dymon, Z-Gradts, Jagurandis, Temjins, Fei-yens, and Raidens.
The most beast move was the super heart attack. Love ya BOOM!!
God, Virtual-On themes always make me so happy!
LOL at the jump canceling, it's exactly how VO would be in 2D :D
DAAYeTOOON!AAA!!!!
YES~!!
ROLLING START! LOLOLOLOLOL!
"Formula Assault"
Heh. There probably isn't an attack name more fitting that this.
The fact they managed to get some of the Virtual-On mechs in this game makes it even awesomer.
I've always wondered what the VO mechs would look like in 2-D format, and I'm very impressed with how they turned out.
Thanks!
Oh man, we need to expand on that idea...
I am tempted to get this just for the ROLLING STAAART
Same reason why fighter pilots declare their targats and status before engaging. It's just that robot pilots get to do it in epic fashion.
4:13 that's the best one ever
virtual on was a fun game so this looks awesome
This video is Awesome + 50. Now I gotta go find this game.
:O I am so getting this game right now!
...
Yesh! Ordered!
DAYTOOONAAAAAAAA!!!!
They sure make quick work of grunts.
Agreed Sgt. Hatter is awesome
4:41 The Hatter was the singer of Rolling Start.
I want. Especially since I love using Fei Yen in the arcade game.
Good god, the part where the third robot goes "ROLLING START! o/`" takes away any badass-itude he had.
And from the hat attack and stuff, that was a lot.
Three ways to tell that you are badass:
1: You can destroy your foes by throwing your hat at them.
2: You can make an out-of-left-field reference to Daytona USA in the heat of battle.
3: Your most powerful attack is an f'ing KICK...
YES!!! IT IS!!! I LOVE YOU!!!
The hilarious thing is when they appeared, Bright from Gundam asked them if they had pilots, the pink girl said ''Thats a secret!''
Special reference to Operation Moongate where the pilots are us playing in an arcade cabinet called "Virtual-On" that was sent from the future.
Virtual On being meta before it was cool.
Little known-fact: Temjin and Master Chief are voiced by the same Seiyuu.
And 'The Wind is Blowing' & 'Burning muscles~Ichiban☆boshi'
This was wayyyyy before Eureka 7.
Virtual On was being played on Sega Saturns everywhere.
starting SRW z and on Banpresto adding different attack for the mecha based on the location of the mecha and their target whether they are on ground or ariborn. but older SRW dont have this yet
for the fact, the size of all Virtuaroids are beyond half of original Gundam RX-78
btw, Hatter's line right before LET'S BURNING JUSTICE is "Run away while you can!" (逃げるなら今の内だぜ!)
damb dood! oh thats right! theres also that 3d mega mecha action game that has as much lisencing problems too. but damb, this still looks fun.
Just two. Alpha 3 which came out around 2005, and they were in the recent DS game too.
Bakunetsumaru, it seems that Banpresto heard you. Your wish has been granted.
The VO gang is back in SRW K. For the DS.
ROLLING STAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRT!
Ahhh... Temjin...
I remember Fei Yen too, and the Heart Beams that could never hit anything.
Sgt. Hatter though, I've never seen before. But he is sooooo COOOL!
He has attacks similar too:
Aussenseiter's Schultterplate (I think that's how you spell it.)
SRX's Blade Kick!
Arblade and the Blade Tonfa...
So much ownage.
:O i'm dead and gone to heaven! thats incredible!
Yes. My eyesight and brain functions failed during their appearance.
True; the folks at Banpresto got permission to include the Virtual ON 'Bots in SRW@3
Geass has flight enabled, and one could make the argument that it would be simple enough to modify a flight pack into a basic space pack. And whether the Gundams from 8th MS were Ground Types or not, Mobile Suits were designed with SPACE in mind.
Actually it kinda is, since anything smaller than M gets evasion boosts, and anything larger gets damage boosts. Though what I'd like to see is a secret white knight upgrade for the Temjin.
i loove virtual on!
*jaw drops at Temjin's amazing beam cannon @ 0:59* That looks so cool!!! Why oh why can't these SRW games be translated and brought over? (I know why, I'm just complaining)
Someone know a link on how to get the BGM???I really want it...
OH SNAP its Temjin!! And his music for Virtual ON Cybertroopers (i like his Orotorio Tangram theme better though, but still).
temjin's soooo OP
The Hatter is awesome. Now if only he had Soul instead of just Hot Blood. ROLLING START~
*Salutes with Temjin*
yea i thought that too in marz. But i got use to it
@Hakkun9872 As someone mentioned earlier, the "Surfing Ram" was upgraded from the original Gliding Ram Temjin used. Looks cool nonetheless in this series, but I'm just curious why his other Spinning Sword special was not used here =o It's a pity Cypher is not included, heck- it could outstyle the Zeta in it's Waverider Assault.
It's not really about producers. It's about mechs. SRW strives to be and is one of the most comprehensive mech games out there, alongside Another Century's Episode.
If we do get Cyberbots in an SRW game, then who'd voice Jin, Tohru Furuya (like in the original CVyberbots) or Yuji Ueda (Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2)?
YES!!!
Didn't we talk about that on that SRW Z Honoo no Sadame video? Also, I agree for some Supers, maybe Zone of the Enders?
They're designed to have a real robot aesthetic, but their capabilities are those of supers.
It's very safe to asume they're better classified as super robots.
Then what about SRW Advance, where you can have the Ground Type Gundams from 08th MS Team fight in space, and the same being said for Code Geass?
I got all the references (such as Fen Fen's hyper mode, Hatter and his theme...) Yes Hatter is a unusual sort of character... though the Temjin seems to have a general leader type voice.
Btw the Temjin and Hatter are from VO Marz (not sure if there's a Marz variation of Fen Fen or not)
LMAO Daytona USA reference of huge annoyance. :)
One thing about VOTOMS soundtracks, do you have the piano version of Honoo no Sadame, heard when Chirico and Fyana escape Kummen, if not, can you upload it, please?
Virtual On Marz, for the Playstation 2 - and it's available in the US!
It was. :D
That's the point. With psychic powers, steam-powered mecha can operate in space.
Let's burning justice~
Temjin should be riding the Waverider too.
If we are to answer Bright Noah's question, yes they do have pilots.
indeed FALCON KICK
1. Temjin is being piloted (Yes, PILOTED.) by the MARZ chief.
It's Apharmd the Hatter, a special variant from VO MARZ.
Capcom has been VERY cooperative with Bamco recently, cause of Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus and Street Fighter X Tekken.
I'd prefer Kikaoh or Jin's mech, Blodia.
I was like wat when I heard the lockon sound, but then I lol'd.
What about Front Mission in that mix?
You have no idea how much I'll pay to have the full 4Force and backstory material cast in the next console SRW with Z-ish graphics...
Oh, and Gliding Ram/Blue Slider combination attack done by all Temjins... Oh yes. Oh f$@%ing yes.
I love this theme, What theme is this?
Angelan would've been interesting to see as well.
i want a wallpaper of the mech riding his gunsword :O
They're gonna return in the upcoming SRW K on DS.
Size is not entirely dependant on raw height. It takes speed and mobility into account. Also, 49 feet = about 14 meters, which is still pretty small considering the Gundams are about 18 meters (with UC Gundams being ~20 m).
An example: Medicus Locus form 3 is 95 meters tall and a size LL, while the AI1 is 135 meters tall and a size L.
5:05 Let's Burning Justice
Yes, Hatter has strange moves in the game.
Can you also add the rock remix of Tetsu no Lullaby heard in Pailsen Files episodes 10 and 12 after your done with Hero Senki and my first request.
Fact: a ROLLING STAAAAAAART immediately boosts any of your attacks' power to the point where it does over 29.000 damage.
Apharmd/Hatter reminds me of Guile. Especially since he throws Sonic Booms.
I remember that part i laughed so hard lol.
It's Temjin from the Virtual On video game series
that blue mech reminds me of bellzelutte from SRW J
CypressDahlia is right, VO is practically old-school these days, and that move was pwning people in arcades and on Saturns and Dreamcasts before Eureka 7 was ever conceived.
But nothing wrong with pointing it out though.
Did Sgt Hatter just pull an Oddjob-esque maneuver?!
