Fire Island is fantastic. I used to live on Long Island and it was a short derive to the ferry and a short boat ride to Cherry grove or The Pines. Mario is right. You can go there and be your self with no inhibitions. It’s a great place to escape to for a weekend.I moved out of New York years ago and I haven’t been to Fire Island since.. I miss it.

A lot of this is so not true. When I went to Fire Island, I couldn't be myself because I met the most obnoxious, judgmental gay men who were sarcastic, nasty, insulting, and all about either sex or thinking they were the best and many of them were just gross in every kind of way. And when I wasn't being insulted, I was being totally ignored by everyone. If you look like Mario, Jeff and Reno, you'll be fine but if you do not, many gay men are just nasty there and I mean in personality.
