I've been listening to this song for 24 years and have never heard a cover before. Yet, in spite of being used to hearing it another way, I found this cover to be terrific. Obviously this singer, who reminds me of Celine Dion, does rings around Robert Tepper and the guitar player is fabulous. I have just two minor bones to pick. 1) This song is a serious, intense song. Doesn't seem like there should be any smiling. 2) "Some feelings never die". How can you not go up the second time like Tepper does? It's the climax of the entire song and you took it out. You gotta have that in there.
