First time I ever beachcasted was aff Cruden Bay pier in 1979 I think it was. Abu Atlantic 484C and a Mitchell 600. Caught a tiny flooner and was delighted.

@@kintakintyea Lost the lot in a storm fishin' aff the reed rock between Aiberdeen and Cove a couple o' years later. Took a silly chunce and was within a yard or two o' gettin' swept awa' masel. I sure I got the rod and reel oot o' my ma's clubbie book.😁
