Been shooting the EZV for about 4 years now and love it.. I have it on both my hunting bows. Out to 50yds the V works great.. once you get past 50 you should still be using a range finder because of possible variation in the V, but the tic marks are still true. I shoot mine all the way out to 80-90yds.. good luck man and heal up!!

I can do 70 pretty well w my ez v, except for the hyena at the 3d course. I can't hit that thing regardless of range.

For three seasons I’ve considered trying the EZ-V sight. My hunting sight has target roots; and windage clicks are 1/32 inch at 20 yards. It’s a bit more than is necessary to harvest a deer at forty yards and in. You may have convinced me to try it; but next season. Good luck with your shoulder! I had a great physical therapist. She made me skip spring gobbler season in 2021; but I was bow hunting deer that year. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

My friend used one of these messing around on an unknown 3-d course. Nat, he had already done a detailed sight session twice and was comfortable with it. Not really shooting for score on the IBO animal targets everyone around was blown away. He is a very archer and can hold very very steady so he can read the sight well. Of thirty animals from 18 to 55 yards he had 6 -8 rings scores. The remainder were higher scores. The average distance was 34.5 yards. He’s only used the sight for maybe 100-120 shots.

I love my ez-v, but it does have some flaws. The mount is too simple, it needs a way to make fine tune adjustment instead of the unscrew and tap method. I ended up putting the V inside of an older hha sight I had an it fit perfectly, I can make micro adjustments and can hit targets out to 60yrds confidently now, just requires practice

Great review, from what I’ve heard from other people once you train your brain to the sight they won’t go back to pins. Don’t rush that shoulder. 20 years ago I hurt my rotator, bought a 50-60lb bow and it took me 5 years to get back to 70.

I have been intersted in picking up the V, but will probably go with a single pin, mostly because I like shooting out loooong distances for fun. This seems like a great option for practical hunting ranges.
Some constructive criticism: I noticed when you are at full draw your draw length + wrist strap length might be contributing to your shot variance. It's slightly too long, the string shouldn't come past your nose and your head is slightly pushed forward. You might be trying to get your eye close to the peep, which is causing this. This leads to your fletching sometimes coming across your face. This will 100% effect accuracy and consistency. Also, your wrist/grip seems to be firm and tilted slightly forward instead of cocked back, this can really cause a lot of torque at release and throw of shots and make consistency hard.

Thanks for the advice. My draw length on that old bow was too short for me so I would compensate that by running my release out long. I finally got a bow that fits me now!

It really fun if you play around with heavy arrows plus I put it on my kids bow at 30 pounds and the works great. 200fps insert zeroed at 10yds gives him 10 20 25 and 30 yd pin

That last shot very good because youre off camera. Sometimes when we shooting with recording visual devices we got some anxiety haha

And what I like about it to is you don’t need a range finder I can put the target out and move all over my back yard and shoot it from anywhere and hit dead on every shot

People, you gotta remember this sight is made for killing diameter size hits, not score. Depends directly on your ability to hold very steady. A fast crappy shot isn’t gonna work on ANY sight. IMO, for me I want no more than a 4” diameter kill zone hit at like 40+ yards. I will take a 3” diameter zone under 40. For the animals sake the smaller the group is on you- the shooter. A6” diameter kill zone on a deer is being mighty lenient.

I definitely agree. I’m looking forward to tightening up my groupings. I think this sight has a lot of potential.

@@fieldpointoutdoors I have never shot with one of those sights but I believe it’s just a matter of a few hundred shots to let the ol’ brain get used to it.

Yep it was a 1/2” short on that bow. It only went up to 30” . My new bow fits perfectly though.
