I have an aunt like this. First one to leave the hospital when my grandma passed and cleaned out her house… then tried to take my dad off of life support (before my sister became his legal guardian), and he’s still here with us (alive and well, 8 years later).
So many family members like to cash in on death! My aunt does this .. but my Parents there are four of us.. we will not stand for the foolishness! Locks are currently getting changed and alarm code my sister and I will have all documents!!!
Your own family will do you worse than a stranger. My God, that Aunt is lowdown smh. Stole the man's money to pay for a policy where she's named herself the beneficiary. Daughter needs to press charges.

I agree. It's best to get your own insurance policy when you are well and pick your own beneficiaries. Sounds like dad was asking his sister to do things she wasn't authorized to do. Sadly, even if you want to help, it's best to let the spouse and/or children handle it. If think it's not being done properly, call a 3rd party.
I’m so proud of the way JM drilled the defendant and asked her all the right questions to incriminate herself. As an older sibling I didn’t learn fast enough how that relationship becomes secondary to a spouse but especially kids. Look who is in court fighting FOR their Dad vs stealing. That insurance policy is a joke...$10,000. By the time the family buries the father, they will not get anything. In fact, it will probably cost more to bury the father nowadays! If the insurance money is all they are fighting over, it is a moot point. They all need to get together as a family and spend the rest of the days the father has in peace and harmony...for his sake.

Burial insurance taken out by the aunt.... oh lord
$10,000 they wont even bury him for that much smh. They all thinking they can get some money and what is stopping the daughter from getting her own policy?
Wow! I dealt with something similar with my dad’s side of the family when he was sick and after he passed. My conscience wouldn’t allow me to do someone the way they did me
@A P I get it but I've seen it with my own eyes outside folk will hoolllller and condemn about a home, but unless they're in that position to they shouldn't put that pressure on a person especially if they work etc....., and some love ones health be so bad on a facility is viable
I've always wondered how someone could be in dispute about someone else's money! If her dad did not receive his stimulus payments then either or is liable.
I'd NEVER do that to someone that I love!!! The ONLY time that my family has put someone in a nursing home during my life, aside from a brief stay to recover from a surgery or something like that, was my grandmother who had Alzheimer's and it was done VERY reluctantly when we just couldn't care for her ourselves anymore. We all made sure to visit her regularly, me especially and we didn't just abandon her or anything like that. She only had short-term memory problems, so she'd forget a conversation you held with her, but not us. We used that to our advantage to hide her condition from her: none of us could bring ourselves to tell her the truth about her illness so we pretended that she was only there for weeks rather than a few years. It was hard, but I think it was for the best: she wouldn't have taken being there for years well and she deserved to not be burdened by the knowledge of her memory issues. She was there for a few years before she passed. Somehow, just a few days before she died, she found out the truth about how long she'd been there. We never found out how. All we know is that she called me that night (and I'm ALSO not sure why she didn't just call my dad, her son) demanding to know why she'd been in the home for years. It was the last time I talked to her. The next day while I was at work, she left me a beautiful message about how much she loved me. And she was gone the day after that.
I feel the plaintiff pain. I have an aunt on my dad’s side who doesn’t like me for no reason at all. When my dad calls I’m coming. In life we only have one mother and one father. I try to do all I can for my parents. And it’s sad that it’s your own family who treats you like dirt over money 🤷🏾♀️. I pray for this young lady. I know your hurt

@@adrianprince7266 Exactly, and most nursing homes take your money, which is why my grandmother always told me that she would rather pay someone to take care of her because she never would have seen her money.
Austin, I actually took care of my very own mother for 16yrs due to multiple sclerosis until she ultimately passed so I've been there. Nothing was going to make me put my own mother in a nursing home or any other place. I took care of her by myself. So that's the side I'll always be on. In my case I was able and willing to do so, but many others ship their parents off and that's the end of it.
Money will definitely make so called family’s true colors come out. That aunt knows she’s dead ass wrong. Reminds me of my Grandfather’s sister 😌
Sure will!

Exactly. He probably has a feeding tube so when the aunt said they weren't feeding him and she went to the store to get him food is suspect. When someone has a stroke their mind is affected so he might not have understood why they weren't feeding him by mouth.

The father seemed to be a difficult person. The love of money is so strong.
The stroke may have affected his judgement. I have experienced strokes. It took years for me to feel like myself again. Definitely affected my decision making.
Very difficult. So sad....
Praying for this young lady. When elders start ailing and passing..that money makes people start showing who they really are!!! Shameless!
This touches home with me because my dad's sister took all control of my dad's checking and life savings and left us with nothing! And when she died our inherence was giving to her kids

@@simplyme9016 That’s not good. I will never understand why family changes on you. I never thought I would feel the hate I feel for certain family members they way I do. They change up and want to fight over their belongings and money smh!
I hope the daddy sees this and the daughter cancels the policy and leaves those two alone.
That would be a good one 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I thought the policy was like 500k or more
😢
Are you Serious?! Folks will Murk you for 10 DOLLAS much less 10 Thousand 😂😂😂😂
SAD, NOT ENOUGH TO EVEN COVER
Nobody ever want to pay the monthly payments but wanna be entitled to the benefits once the person pass.If the sister is paying the policy a course she the beneficial the responsibility of the daughter is to get her own policy for her father and make sure her siblings included everyone judging the sister Yes she wrong for taking his stimulus that's common sense but you want a policy then pay for one she dont have to include them in nothing she paying out her pocket cause once he pass they will be looking for her to handle the expenses WHY cause they didn't have one.
I know a women that took the burial money and let the state bury her husband. So that money was useless.
One of the top 10! Honor thy Mother and thy Father. You’ll reap what you sow. Seen it many times.
This is sad. I believe a little bit of what they're both saying is true. What I really want to know is how far they think that 10k in life insurance is going?. If it's for his kids , it's so that they can bury him without going into debt.
*My dad's sister is the same way!! She stole his insurance money too!! Ole scandalous, conniving, wig-wearing hussie!!*
Your children are not obligated to take care of you. Nobody is obligated to take care of you but YOU! Especially if you did not raise your children. ✊🏾
Facts. There be bad parents expecting their kids to pick up the pieces when they can’t and it’s not fair. I’m doing everything in my power RIGHT now while I have an able body to make sure I don’t end up being a burden on my kid
If he was spiteful enough to keep changing the POA and payee I question the type of father he was. He better thank his lucky stars the daughter is fighting for him.
@@opulence_prime Indeed. But, the same thing happened in my husband's family. His grandfather kept going back and forth with the payee. when he died, it was a random person...I believe there was some mental decline though.
True but why are the kids fighting for the money of the parent they are unwilling to take care of?
My favorite judge on daytime television
My mother said that she wasn't leaving anything behind for anybody to fight over and she didn't. My mother gave her All while she was here and that's factual. To GOD be the glory for keeping us all rightminded and upstanding.

I’m a worker for SSA (20 years and counting). I’m just curious in this situation, do you feel like daughter is user or aunt?
Auntie is the one in the family that shows up when she smells money. Every family has at least one.
"You can get SSI for not getting bathed" lmfao. Thats her mother? I thought they were sisters...wow
WHYYYYY does it always come from family?? they do you the DIRTIEST!! I got teary eyed when Tawanna started to speak to her aunt with JM listening in.
I would never to that to ANYONE! PERIOD! They’re something else
You guys are trash for what you did to your grandmother. You and your family should be ashamed of yourselves. Vile human beings.
