Man you explained this the best out of everybody I’ve listened to. Thanks man I’m a newbie and I’ve set my sights on ten times already but you’ve solved my problem. The sight tapes I have start at 40 to a 100 thanks bro.🙏🏽
This is the best video I've seen on how to set a three pin slider. All other videos I've seen says make the middle your floater? Outside of color on the pin I have no idea why you would want the center pin as your floater? My brain says lasy pin is 40 as I adjust the wheel that last pin should go further and further in distance.
What great explanation! I had a site dialed in but my top pin was the floater and I was hitting my housing at 100 yards. I was at the range today in the rain trying to figure out how to get the clearance and how to make my bottom pin the floater. It all makes sense now and I feel stupid for not figuring it out. I have a mathews phase 4 that’s set at 62lbs. Im hoping I can set my sight with enough clearance to hit 80-100 yards. I don’t know my exact fps. I realize now I gotta cut my tape at 40 yards and put the 40 at the top. I think that will give me the clearance. Then when I just add whatever I move the 40 to the 20 or 30 pin right? So if I want to shoot 25 yards I slide my floater to 45 and shoot the top
At 6 mins in, he says if the arrow is low make your adjustment low to follow the arrow. How? You’ve already moved the elevation gang adjustment to its lowest position. Their are only two other options. Move the sight down to the next lowest position on the riser, if available on your bow, or use the elevation wheel which he implies should not be used at this point in the process.
I heard the same thing. I put my gang elevation in the lowest position. The only way to go higher is with the elevation wheel. I am regretting buying this sight. My sight did not come with any instructions on setup. Sad.
@@rdb8509 You move the gang if you need to. this is a starting position. once you have the 20 yard pin set, you should not need to move the gang again. Once the 20 yard pin is set, you only move the 30 and 40 yard pins within the sight. once the 20,30, and 40 are set, then all the adjustments are with the wheel.
Seems like a decent product but unfortunately for left handed shooters the RL-1 and RL-2 are unavailable. Being a left handed shooter it’s quite frustrating.
I know you guys don't live on this thing and answer comments often but hopefully someone can respond with… What do you do when the third axis is off on a brand new site, RL three pin to be exact thanks
I ordered a brand new rl2 3 pin. Out of the box something was screwed up. 2nd access was impossible to set. At least 1/4 off. Called redline, sent me a new one. Problem solved. They're made in China, so quality control is suspect
It would be a lot easier for a slower setup to reach out to 100 yd plus if they made sight tapes that started at say like 40 yards which is what your bottom pin is instead of them all starting at 20 yd

Awesome video man! I just got the rl-2 3 pin to try out this year excited to get it setup and dialed in.

Thank you for this
I have to get this sight!!!
You’re the man!!!
I'm new to slider sights, but I'm going to use the odd colored sight pin as the mover. So green red green I'm using red.
I have a setup that shoots about 230fps. How far do you think I would be able to shoot with this sight?

I'm still trying to figure out that same thing if I'm shooting low I can't move that gang adjustment down any further
U need to adjust your peep sight.
Move the pin itself
question how can we move the gang lower when we started with it in the lowest position to start with or am i missing something
I’m wondering the same thing. What is the solution?
I heard the same thing.

Go to a pro shop they should be able to help you

We need one for the rl3

True but some people would have problems with the sight housing being in the way of the arrow.
This video was like watching a stockbroker rattle off numbers and point to things you can't see and barely understand
Umm.. you kinda need numbers to sight in a slider bow sight or any sight for that matter. This was actually a pretty good tutorial.
20 yrd I'm a foot high
