This is so true. The parallels between Pakistan today and Germany in 1920s and 1930s are uncanny. But alas, that is never mentioned in our political discourse.
@@moslemson The biggest difference between Nazi Germany and Pakistan is they were one ethnic nation and thought of themselves or had a view of themselves as superior..and that was not baseless...they were making everything of best quality including high tech by themselves....on the other hand Pakistanis don't have any such thing. They are impressed by other nations and copy them...have nothing much to be proud of..have a very shameful history till now. There was a time when i used to think that abt Pakistan that we need to think like nazi germany but now i only laugh at knowing the reality.

His thoughts relevant in today's politics. I think most of the politicians or dictators are following his foot steps. I think there is no ethics in politics or in international affairs, the only important thing is your national interests.

Machiavelli is not perfect but he is good. His methods are sometimes cold and unstable but his methods also warn the Prince of possibilities. In general, we must remember that no Human writing is perfect. All models of power and people management have some flaws and loopholes. But to acquire a system that is best, a leader must study the nature of his people. Like a shepherd cant tame a lion, the same way a circus ringmaster cant tame cattle. To become truely powerful, a leader MUST have a good grasp of all the things involved in running a system.
