You were the first ASMRtist I connected with over six years ago and I have to agree with the majority of your fans and commenters about the old school/lo-fi ASMR being favorite. I just don’t respond to the role plays, the “forced” things. When I can just see Ilse being herself, whispering or softly speaking to us while you draw, show and tell something special to your life, tell a story meaningful to you, work on plants, play your games or discuss them, that is what rings true. The authenticity. At least that’s how I would describe it. We came for the ASMR and stayed for YOU, Ilse! We connected with you, who you are and your beautiful character and heart. Hi Ilsa, you were the first ASMR artist that I started listening to back in 2013. I had difficulty relaxing and sleeping after my husband died, and had heard that ASMR might be helpful to me. You helped me immeasurably, and I listened to every one of your videos. There were other ASMR artists that helped me as well, but yours were always most helpful for me. I missed you while you were gone, and am thrilled that you are back. Yes, ASMR has changed over the years, however it is the old school ASMR that helps me to relax and sleep the best. Some ASMR artists that I do still enjoy, almost seem to be more for entertainment purposes, with some aspects of ASMR mixed in. This is not meant as criticism as I am a fan of that as well, but when I am looking for ultimate relaxation, tingles, and sleep, it’s the old school ASMR that helps me the most. Again this is just my preference and opinion. So, I love what you do, just be true to yourself and continue to do what you do the best! I’m so happy that you are back! To me you are the queen of ASMR. 😊

The one I remember the most is one that you based on a memory of a trip to a camping and you go on a bike ride to a lake. One of the your videos that you might consider redoing is actually one of my favorite ASMR videos of all time. It's the one where you had a guest over on a houseboat, and just combed her hair and rambled about the weather outside and how you first met her. It was just the cutest thing in the history of the universe. ❤️
I think part of the charm was the house boat and the lighting in that specific place :) Since that is in the Netherlands and I am in Canada I won't be able to recreate it in that way :(

I really like your videos helps me relax. But there is one that I will put above all the rest and that is your Christmas plate decoration. I don't know if it's because you are just simply speaking softly away from the mic but that is the one that I always go to day after day. I would like to figure out how to download that on a CD so I could let it just play over and over again because sometimes I just can't completely get to sleep and I have to start it over again. The Christmas plate decoration video you have is the one that I choose over any ASMR video to this day. Glad to see your back and take care.

Hi! Well I technically didn't fix it, I just stopped using my zoom h5n so I won't be able to make any stereo sound videos for a while until I saved up for a new mic :) But until that time, this mic does not seem to have that problem ^_^
I would love to see you do some videos with no speaking and just the pestle and mortar with seeds snapping, also the sounds of crayons and different size pills in different bottles, brushing hair and washing hair.. Just some suggestions since you were asking. I am glad you are back. Take care!❤
Yes to old school asmr! Most new asmr is too strategic, and the super high quality microphones actually are not that tingly to me. The extremely "perfect" asmr videos are not my style.
Yeees. bringing back that "whispers/whispering community" vibes, before the ASMR tag really took off. Also, so many have ring lights and other super bright lights in their videos which I just have never understood. I'm trying to chill out or go to sleep, why is this video super bright??

Yes, we want you to be you. Nobody does whisper ASMR like you, nobody. It doesn’t matter what you talk about, your whisper is the BEST. Whatever makes you happy will make us happy. Please, do your thing! I haven’t found a single channel anywhere as good as yours, whether old school or new. Most of the new stuff is lousy anyway. Do what you love, that’s the key to success. BTW, the part of the candle you referred to (the part that was too short to light) is called a wick.

I would like to figure out how to download that on a CD so I could let it just play over and over again because sometimes I just can't completely get to sleep and I have to start it over again. I recall one of the first asmr videos I watched was when you were sorting crayons or colored pencils. Also one where you were rummaging through your grandma’s jewelry box. Both were so calm and relaxing 😌

Hi! Well I technically didn't fix it, I just stopped using my zoom h5n so I won't be able to make any stereo sound videos for a while until I saved up for a new mic :) But until that time, this mic does not seem to have that problem ^_^
I would love to see you do some videos with no speaking and just the pestle and mortar with seeds snapping, also the sounds of crayons and different size pills in different bottles, brushing hair and washing hair.. Just some suggestions since you were asking. I am glad you are back. Take care!❤

Yes to old school asmr! Most new asmr is too strategic, and the super high quality microphones actually are not that tingly to me. The extremely "perfect" asmr videos are not my style.
That's a good way to put it, most new asmr IS "strategic". It's forced, not natural, doesn't really work. But Ilse is classic

Yeees. bringing back that "whispers/whispering community" vibes, before the ASMR tag really took off. Also, so many have ring lights and other super bright lights in their videos which I just have never understood. I'm trying to chill out or go to sleep, why is this video super bright??

Yes, we want you to be you. Nobody does whisper ASMR like you, nobody. It doesn’t matter what you talk about, your whisper is the BEST. Whatever makes you happy will make us happy. Please, do your thing! I haven’t found a single channel anywhere as good as yours, whether old school or new. Most of the new stuff is lousy anyway. Do what you love, that’s the key to success. BTW, the part of the candle you referred to (the part that was too short to light) is called a wick.

Really lovely video, Isle! Would you be open to doing some water/hand washing videos? I remember your old videos where you’d wash your hands with mini bottles of soap over a bowl of warm water. Also would you be open to doing a room/home tour? I’ve loved the ones you’ve done over the years. I still watch your old video with your apartment in the Netherlands. I’d love to see you do a show and tell with little trinkets or something in your home. I also loved your shoe selling role play! So good. Flipping through magazines was so lovely as well. Can’t wait to see what magic you make, Ilse!

Not in German as I have lost the ability to speak in German since English became the main spoken language in my life but maybe I'll do some in Dutch in the future :)
