This was very helpful. I'm working on my first feature, super low budget (trying to keep it under $7,000) but using quality gear so this seems like the way to go. Better than just doing a few film festivals and it just sitting on the shelf or lost here on youtube.
Their tech requirements say no letterboxing, but people seem to be having success otherwise. My film is not letterboxed, so I would be safe than sorry. help.filmhub.com/articles/2663770-video-audio-requirements
Thank you so much Alex, I would like to know, how much time do they need to pitch and deliver your movie ? And another question, my movie is in arabic with English subtitles, do you think they would be interested ? Or should I make voice over with english to get more chances ?
They are constantly pitching. It happens right away once you pass QC. As for your film, you are going to be limited having subtitles, but I don't see why they wouldn't take it.
I can't find the answer to this anywhere. I want to upload my film and have two roles for the audio tracks. A 5.1 and a Stereo. Which order assignment should I give? Role 1 to 5.1 and Role 2 to Stereo ? Or the other way around? Hope to hear back and many thanks for your video and channel! :D
This isn't possible to my knowledge. You can only upload one video file with an attached audio file. I don't think you can assign roles for different files.
I'm following your videos about filmhub. I just submited one film in Italian with english SDH subtitles, but I am not sure about something. Regardless the subtitles, I wrote the synopsis and sales pitch in english. I ruined it , right?
@@alexsrednoselac Sorry, you are right. The documentary I submitted its all in Italian. Being in Italian, with english SDH subtitles, the title, synopsis and sales pitch were supposed to be in Italian or English? They wont be able to sell it to an Italian market since the synopsis and sales pitch I wrote were in english. I'm confused. Even more now that I was thinking to upload a shortfilm in spanish.
@@clydeboy71 I made another filmhub tutorial that I just put out and I had trouble uploading MP4. Their website lists mp4 as an acceptable format, but it wouldn't let me upload MP4.
keep the rights to your fillms and distribute yourself. they make it impossible for you to redistribute your own films anywhere else once ties are cut from them. they inaccurately pay the filmmakers.

20 mins in and there’s already value. Thank you for this!
this video is golden! thank you for taking the time out to do this!
Happy to help!
Thanks a lot for this video!
This just came out? Nice!
IM CONFUSED do they allow letter boxing what are the best aspect ratios they accept

@ yeah because I watch tubi and see letter boxing so weird because I hate not having it lol. So do you deliver in Hd or ultra HD
Either. If you shot in 4K deliver in 4K. If not, HD is fine.
@ thanks
the watermark is killing my first one.. i lost the sessions to my first season of my show. i wonder if they will let me just blur out the watermark
Probably not. You may want to look for alternative options. It won't pass QC with a watermark.

You're going to have to clarify why you think you ruined it

I’m not 100% sure to be honest. You’ll have to contact them and ask. Let me know if you get the answer.

MP4 is still fine. Passes QC
It gave me issues two weeks ago. Had to do .mov 😢
@thetianamelvina that's so unfortunate. I used an mp4, passed qc and got licensed.
@@clydeboy71 Hmm. Strange. I have seen mp4 on their list of options. I wonder if it's file dependent. I'll need to investigate further.
