Aloha from Oahu ! Great additions to my little workshop ! For the past 40 years , I've been is serious construction , but 7 years ago ,I took a little trip over the 'rainbow' and didn't end up in Kansas . Now , all I can safely do is work with unpowered tools . But what little bit of power needed to make your tools and jigs is a blessing ! Hope I can give you some of my designs that also keep crews of carpenters at work . Today's addition to your page [the saw sharpening jig is 'first class' . I'm still plagued by lasting damage from my little accident and the 2 month coma that followed but the vertigo it left me with , keeps me away from the big stuff that could eat me alive . I don't see many pages that make me say ,'I really need that' , as yours does . Mahalo, Mark Baker ,down but not for the count !
Sencillo y perfecto.
This is one of the most in-genius pieces of equipment i have seen... for a person like me that cannot cut a straight line to save his life...... many thanks
It's a real pleasure to see you at work, Mikel. Your tools are not just useful, but also beautiful. Your care & "love" when crafting them is awesome. I'm going to do one of these but I ordered the wrong magnets. I have 10x2 mm magnets coming. I'll try to do my best with them. Maybe to put two rows of 10x2 mm instead of one row of 12x3 mm as your specs are.
Great video and a great project. I liked it so much I followed your instructable and made one for myself. It turned out amazing and I've already used it in several other projects. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming.
I'm glad to hear that!! It's fantastic that you made one for yourself and that you're happy with it. This type of comments encourage me to show you more videos, thanks!!
I've been watching more and more of your videos and i love the look and functionality of all the little tools and aids you make. This is quickly becoming my new favorite wood working channel next to Paul Sellers! lol
Wow, it's an honor for me to hear that!! Within the next few days, I'm uploading a new video a bit different from the others, but at least for me a very useful tool. I hope that you like as much as the others. Thank you very much for the support!!
Good video. Mixed feelings though about the guide. On one hand, it works great and I LOVE the adjustability. On the other hand, I could see where the saw was pulled off to the side and the magnets kept the cut true as intended, but am afraid that this might cause bad habits and would hinder learning proper technique.
Now that vertigo has removed me from working and making $$ as I have for years , I still seek to earn for my households needs . Any 'unplugged' means to this end is great , Thanks !!
Genius. Another fantastic piece of work. Totally subscribing to your channel. :) Love the style of video as well! Brings a sense of peace and serenity to woodworking!!
Wow such a great idea! Both the tool and the video are so well done. Recently bought a sliding hand mitre saw but struggling to get consistent straight cuts for some hand made picture frames so I might try this thanks :)
WoW !! What better gift could one make for a woodworking friend 😁👍 This is the second video I have watched from your channel Mik and I have loved both of them, they are very intuitive so I am going to subscribe to your channel and give the thumbs up as well 👍 I love the music by the way 🎹 👍 Glen from the UK ⚒
Hello! Thanks for thé vidéo ! This is a great innovation and inspiration ! I think doing the same for me. Could you please tell me the brand of your double sided adesif tape ?
Well done. Great tool. Good idea using the washers to get that perfect round over. Also, I just wanted to let you know I got your channel from James Wright from wood by Wright. He gave this tool a shout out. I subribed and look forward to more videos.
Thank you very much. I have just learnt of the recommendation from James Wright thanks to you. It was the first time I used the washers for it and the result was excellent!!
Hola David!
Wow, this is amazing! Thank you very much Mikel!
I hope you enjoy it!
I will keep it in honor, my friend.

Again, nice work and very good video. Maybe I missed it, but what are the magnets in the top of the rail of the shooting board for?
Do you refer the magnet of the 2:06'? This is another guide to get the cut straight, I don't know if this solve your doubt... Thanks for the comment.
When I look at again, I realized that I mistook the screw heads for small magnets.
That's it, those are the screws for tighten.
Awesome
Thanks John!

Did you consider using wing nuts?
+yzemaze Thank you Very much. Yes, if i had to make it again probably I would use them for a faster thightening.
