Awesome! I am so glad the video helped. We had trouble finding the cabin at first and were confused since we never had a cabin down a hall like that. I wish you a great cruise! The Edge class ships are beautiful and I love the four main dining rooms to choose from. Cafe al Bacio pastries are free although the drinks do cost. Eden Cafe open on sea days is nice for a lighter, less crowded breakfast or lunch and has outside seating. Their chocolate cake is so good!
We like everything about that room, and the 'conventional' traditional aft balcony is something we might not have considered until we saw your video. That socket arrangement seemed strange at first sight, but we can see how it works AND keep all those cables of your appliances neat and tidy.
Thanks so much for your feedback! It made me very happy to know it helped you. For the Celebrity Edge class ships (Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent), the Sunset Verandah is the best way to get a traditional balcony cabin (versus the Infinite Verandah which is the majority of the cabins and is more of a window that retracts down) without having to pay to upgrade to a Sky Suite or higher which would also give you a traditional balcony. There is a Porthole verandah which offers a little balcony in the front of back of the side of the ship, but the Sunset Verandah gives you the biggest balcony with the best view. Some of the Sunset Verandahs have balconies wider and deeper towards the middle (bigger balcony).. All the Edge class ships have the plugs in the box configuration. It can be worthwhile to bring a plug that offers additional plug outlets since the outlets in the box can be too close together to plug two phone chargers next to each other. The Edge class ships are very different from the Solstice class Celebrity ships. The main dining room choices with different regional cuisines offers increased choices. If you have the opportunity to go on Celebrity Beyond; it was the most beautiful ship we have been on. We have sailed on Edge before. Happy cruising to you!
Hi Claire, we really enjoyed watching your informative video. We are thinking of sailing a Celebrity Edge class ship in the near future and this gives us great insight into which cabin we should go for. We have subscribed to your channel. Best wishes Lisa & Pete
Thanks so much, Lisa and Pete! I subscribed to your channel too. I have sky suite video room tours of Beyond and Ascent which are the newest Edge class ships. My latest Ascent Magic Carpet video shows the list of Retreat times for various snacks and a picture of the pool and hot tub. All the Edge class ships are beautiful! Happy cruising to you both!
Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a lovely comment. You made my night! I will have a Celebrity Ascent, the newest ship, Sunset Verandah tour in January. Please subscribe if you would like to be notified.
Yes! I felt really proud when I could finally keep it straight and actually know which way I was heading by the signs. Forward = front of the ship. Port = left Side. Starboard = right side. Aft = back of the ship. And most importantly on a cruise ship, they are "ships," not "boats."
At night, we were usually at shows or the bars, but around 6:30 - 7:30 pm when we were getting ready to go out, we did not hear anything. We would go to bed around 11 pm, and I never heard anything from upstairs as I was going to bed. In the early morning on a couple of mornings, we might hear a little noise if they washed the floor and moved chairs or the early risers scraping chairs on the floor. I would usually wake up a little, then either start the day or go back to sleep. Two decks below Oceanview Cafe would be the safest not to hear that.
Great video!! I will be on Apex in March and have this exact cabin! Thank you so much!

Did you find it noisy due to the buffett from the Oceanview Cafe at night?
