I've heard a lot of trumpet players you name it, and there was only one trumpet player that was better than Arturo Sandoval he past away already but not his legacy and his name was Rafael Mendez. He played cleaner and more technical than Sandoval but still Sandoval is a monster in this instrument.

It takes a lot to blow Dizzy Gillespie away. But Arturo is that good. Both these legends can put a smile on your face. But its a lot harder to do that to a fellow musician who plays on your level. The fact that this happened at all to Gillespie blows me away.

Indudablemente Sandoval para mí es el mejor del mundo y lo q más me gusta es q puede tocar cualquier nota y no se inflama la cara no se xq otros se ponen tan inflamados q parecen sapos me imagino q es un instrumento muy difícil d tocar y se requiere tener mucho aire pero no se xq Arturo se ve normal tocando la trompeta. En mi Opinion Dizzy le pone más interpretación, sentimiento, la improvisación es mejor también, en cambio Arturo solo le gusta hacer show y sorprender con sus agudos.
Son distintas escuelas, dizzy se desenvolvió con los más grandes del jazz, y ps los conciertos de arturo son reales shows dónde La conexión que tiene con el público también es diferente a la de dizzy, pero los dos son unos capos y para que veas más sentimientos e interpretación de Arturo deberías escuchar más cosas de el ☺️

Creció dentro de la disciplina del jazz y de la música dónde el show estaba de más, hay videos de Miles Davis, Freddie hubbard etc que muestra como al inicio no había show solo sentimiento y melodía de una técnica bien ejecutada, igual se ve el progreso en este siglo dónde se lleva al jazz a un espectáculo de técnicas y melodías tremendas.

Infelizmente nesse país não há espaço para músicos pobres, há 10 anos na fanfarra da escola comecei a estudar música, e conheci o trompete, me encantei pelo som, sempre ia pra Lan house pesquisar por vídeos assim, de grandes trompetistas tocando.. Enchia meu pen drive de músicas e mesmo quando estava sem Net na Lan eu ia lá ficar ouvindo, aos 14 já era um dos melhores da fanfarra.. mas houve uma grande enchente em rio largo, cidade onde moro, destruiu a escola, daí nós nos mudamos e nunca mais consegui contato com a música, tentei estudar por conta, mas não tive como.. hoje pai de família estou juntando uma grana pra comprar um trompete e voltar ao sonho, deus vai me abençoar...
Well yes and no. The play over the chord changes of each bars and adjust what they play to that scale. So say it's Em they are orienting their soloing around the e minor scale. But the fun thing is you can throw in out of chord notes to make it way more interesting like both of these two do.
There are tones of scales that apply to jazz, but you don't necessarily have to stay within them. From studying jazz as a percussionist and mallet player, one thing my teacher told me was you have the freedom to do play whichever notes you want as long as you land back on a chord tone when the chord changes occur.
It is incredibly complex. With most music, you have a basic limit on what you can and can't do. In jazz, the extension goes beyond the tertiary chords. There is a very high degree of music theory needed to understand alot of what's played.
+Trey Barnes There´s a whole life to study and practice, if you want to play Jazz. Nothing is random. It´s a deep knowledge of every aspect of music, melody construction, harmony and rhythm. There´s certain people that besides studying for 8 hours a day, can´t improvise...though.

I've always wondered... are these guys playing random notes? Or is there a scale pattern they follow?
Well yes and no. The play over the chord changes of each bars and adjust what they play to that scale. So say it's Em they are orienting their soloing around the e minor scale. But the fun thing is you can throw in out of chord notes to make it way more interesting like both of these two do.
There are tones of scales that apply to jazz, but you don't necessarily have to stay within them. From studying jazz as a percussionist and mallet player, one thing my teacher told me was you have the freedom to do play whichever notes you want as long as you land back on a chord tone when the chord changes occur.
It is incredibly complex. With most music, you have a basic limit on what you can and can't do. In jazz, the extension goes beyond the tertiary chords. There is a very high degree of music theory needed to understand alot of what's played.
Play random notes on a trumpet and see how far you get in the world of jazz, dipshit.

+Davidflauta Galan Si puedes poner más atención, te darás cuenta que también se le infla el cuello, lo que el tiene es una patología muscular, mira sus videos de los años 40 y verás que casi no infla los cachetes.
