The Last of Us and Stranger Things are gonna sell tickets alone. But after listening to the descriptions, I'm super excited about Chucky's house. It's HHN breaking the 4th wall, going full meta with the concept, and I hope it's hilarious and scary at the same time! The Paris Monsters are gonna kill it this year!
I prefer the IP houses (even though I also enjoy the originals). The IP houses are what truly separates HHN from other themepark Halloween events. Universal gets the licenses to make you feel like you're in the movie/tv show. But bring on the original houses anyday.
What's described for Monsters Unmasked sounds wonderful! The initial description said it would be in the Parisian catacombs, which is cool, but this video saying we'd also go through the Opera House (Undoubtedly running into good old Erik the Phantom in there) for part of it makes it even better! I never played the 'Last of Us' games so I can't comment on my thoughts for that House one way or another. Stranger Things 4 will of course be great! It's easily the scariest season so far, so there's real potential as a House, and of course it will undoubtedly have not just Vecna, Demodogs and bats, but also likely more heroic characters popping up. How they describe Chucky sounds magnificent! Rather than just a straightforward adaptation of the show (I've only seen Season 1 of it), it's more like flipping that on its head ! Very clever, and in character for Chucky! As for Originals vs. IPs, while I usually like Originals a little better, IP Houses are undoubtedly the lifeblood of the events, as they are what really bring in the guests/ casual fans and make the events so profitable. Plus, some of those Houses are awesome, too (i.e. 'Krampus,' 'Trick 'r Treat,' 'Killer Klowns,' 'Ghostbusters,' etc.). I eagerly await part 2 when they'll be talking about originals!
17:12-17:17 James A. Janisse would like to have a word with you about that name. It sounds like something you would find on Dead Meat. 17:17-19:03 With that said, this house sounds like it’s going to be a blast!
