Hey Mr. Jared! I saw your vid on Singular Entity a bunch of times and I gotta say, I was inspired. Planning on buying S2000 next year. Currently own a DC5 Type S. I am on 2nd year Mech Engineering now and saving up is a bit hard haha. Mad driving skills too! Cheers
Thanks. The Ridge is a great track. I'd recommend Portland International Raceway for a first track experience in the NW as it has better visibility and better runoff so it's safer and easier to learn. Once up to speed, the Ridge is more fun.
Just to add another opinion, as a novice, I've found the wide open spaces of the Ridge very comforting. I suppose the up and down may put some people off but there are most no walls and tons of run off. BTW - I'm hoping to run PIR sometime soon as it *is* a beautiful track.
This is a GoPro Hero4 Black. Previous vids used Hero3 White. I use an Audio-Technica ATR3350iS mic mounted under the dash. Cam is mounted to roll bar. This video was recorded at 1080 and 60 fps but the TH-cam compression on this one is really bad with lots of dropped frames which makes it choppy. If/when it switches to VP9 Codec, it should look much better.
nice run! i was checking out your setup and i notice you aren't running any bump steer kits. is it because it will bump you to the next class? I just noticed the constant snap you are having and one of those things i've been fighting on my car was to decrease the level of snap over steer on my ap1. I run the thick solid front sway from moddication/ stock rear, J's racing rear bump steer, and 255 RS3 squared. its been working wonders, but i don't run any force induction. Im not a pro or anything just suggestions.
I'm not running any bump steer correction. I've never felt a need for one - passive rear steer isn't always a bad thing. I like a loose car so when it exceeds traction limits the rear end slides but is easy to catch. The only time I've felt a negative response with the factory bump steer is when hitting a large bump mid-corner which causes unexpected yaw. In this video, there are no big bumps. It would be interesting to run a kit back-to-back however.
what event is this? id like to make a trip up to this track because i have family friends that live about 10 minutes from this track. i want to make the drive up from los angeles!
This was a Test and Tune event (open lapping all day - no run groups). There are also several clubs that have track days at the Ridge. Check out the calendar on the Ridge Motorsports Park website which lists the different club days and test and tune days.
The Test and Tune events are great for advanced drivers (no run groups, open passing, etc). Turn2 puts on a great event. I hear Speed Syndicate, Hooked on Driving, and Cantrell all put on good events as well but I haven't been to them personally.

Great video, great super charger sounds, great driving!
Nice driving! Looks like an awesome track. I don't have any track experience, but I want to get out to the ridge sometime.

Damn those A7's are a quick tire!
Very quick for 2-3 laps. Still fast after that but fall off a bit.
@@JaredFloyd That's what i gathered from watching SCCA Touring classes. R7's probably would hold up a lot longer
great cam angle man. what hp is this car making
Currently making about 340 hp at the wheels on a Dynojet.

keep it updated.. otherwise smooth run. you catch those snaps quick too
What setup your running on your s2k? or modification you did? sound so good.
Internally stock F22C with custom Rotrex based supercharger, Toda headers, custom 3" single exhaust.
Approx. How fast was you going around the majority of the curves?
That advance auto shift knob tho lol

are there any you recommend?

What supercharger kit is that?
It's a custom kit based on a Rotrex C30-94 compressor and is located where the factory AC compressor resides.
What brakes are you running?
Front brakes are AP Racing kit from Urge Designs with Hawk DTC-70 pads. Rear brakes are stock with Cobalt XR-5 pads.
Cool
