TWO QUESTIONS. Can either of the two physical side buttons be programmed to specific apps/functions? For example, press and hold the bottom side button to start the stopwatch app. Also, can you change the units of measure from METRIC to IMPERIAL? In USA we use Inches, feet, miles, pounds, and fahrenheit. The old S1 DID NOT support either of those functions.
I have the watch.... what your asking all I can pick is "F" "C". Ooooh but there is NO WATCH face what will show you "F" only "C". And yes this is the global one. ooh the China version has WIFI this one does not HAHA
Do you need a subscription or LTE connection to utilize the phone capability or is this only compatible with the phone on you not as a stand-alone phone? Also can one use American Express or Visa for touch to pay? I had the Samsung Galaxy watch 4 classic and returned it, battery sucked and the features were minimal at best.
the biggest downside of having to use Xiaomis own OS is that it sets a lot of limits to what/how to use the watch's functions as the Xiaomi OS only allows downloads of pre-chosen apps by Xiaomi, and as with the Xiaomi Watch S2 (I just bought that one) the GPS does not work in Europe 🙁
Yes... the S1 has a few apps the S1 pro I have ONE APP. Don't get me started on the Watch faces. I looked into the S1 ..it was out over a year now. There is NO NONE no other app anywhere to get any other kind of watch face. Someone on TH-cam has a hacked app I think because when I used it... I then saw Global faces 94, China faces 55. Had allot of APPS yet NONE work on the S1 pro other then the ONE it comes with CALC. Then the bug where Amazon stops working after a few mins. But the S1 had the same bug ONE YEAR AGO. No lie.. same BUG... I wish those that reviewed it talked about ALL
Not worth the money, doesn't look like they have upgraded the hr sensor since the original mi sport watch I bought and I bet basic things like setting Miles as a unit is still unavailable, for the price you could get much better watches, galaxy watch, huawei watch gt3 etc

I got this hacked Xiaomi app that shows "global faces" which are the only ones I can see with the org app. There are 55 "china" watch faces some are cool. I have like everyone else had problems with Amazon. Well at first it works great but then stops not long after the only way to get it to work again is to SYNC the watch. Oh you will love this. I saw a video of the S1 it was one year old. He was talking about how Amazon would work at first then stop and the only way to get it to work again was to SYNC it!. OIMG that's the SAME exact bug a year later. I have very kindly lovingly ask emailed every place I can.. on the APP its self and since I got it (when it launched) NO ONE EVER got back to me. No updates no new watch faces. The S1 has ALLOT of apps the S1 pro? ONE app. So.. maybe you can email them ask them is a UPDATE coming because I want to sell it get something else..

Not having to reset the watch when pairing to a new phone is worth it on its own! Only Amazfit comes to mind for that.
