Auxito LED 7440 Bulb review & Install for 2020-2024 Toyota Highlanders (Lasfit bulb comparison)

- Hey fam, todays video is sponsored by Auxito, they sent me two sets of LED 7440 bulbs to review to see how they compared to the Lasfit bulbs I have currently installed for my turn signal lights. I must say that I'm very impressed in the build quality of the product as it was able to blink continuously for more than 15 minutes straight without hyperflashing! Check out my review and see for yourself as I have switched all my turn signal bulbs to Auxito to avoid the hyperflashing I was experiencing with the Lasfit bulbs after 4 minutes.
If you're looking to switch your bulbs to LEDs, checkout their product line at their website and use my discount code: VTBBLE for an additional 15% off. Their products come with a 2 year warranty as well!

Well done man, got the black one and very happy with it. Feel safer when I turn
Thanks for showing me what bulbs to get I was also getting hype flash with the lasfit bulbs will be changing to auxito
Same here with the lasfit on my 22 civic
Bought the Auxito because your video and I just got the Auxito 7440 42 led chip one (Yellow box) two days ago, compare to the Lasfit on my car, I can say Lasfit sill way brighter than the Auxito (Yellow box), but they do hyper flash when hit 3 mins 45 seconds on my 2013 Camry rear turn signal. I think I will keep using Lasfit and use Auxito for the spare if Lasfit went out.
Hi bro , Which one is the best right now?
These are the newer 7440s that I would recommend. amzn.to/3SLB1AX
Well done video, ordered Auximito. Was initially going to go with Lasfit but I cannot deal with Hyperflash.
Thank you for sharing this!
I like that you showed the install after the meat and potatoes. Should check out Diode Dynamics SS3 or Elite Series Fog Lamps.
Thanks! I definitely have the Elite series fogs on Santas list! 👌
@@vietbubbletea I'm thinking the SS3 Pro
@@ShawnTRD You can't go wrong with both of the SAE versions! I'm leaning towards Elite Series since I dig the amber back-lit option while the fogs are off.
Thx for the video. I bought the last and gonna swap out for the Auxito. Will the hyper flash be an issue if you get in an accident and leave your hazard lights on for an extended period of time?
@@DerekFongUser I've run the Auxitos for 15 minutes straight before I ended the test and no issues with hyperflashing. They could run longer but if you're in an accident, the LEDs will still work but blink faster.
Hi there,
I'm wondering when you will post a video about the auto-folding side mirrors installationI.That , you mentioned in one of your previous videos.
Thanks,
Hopefully by the end of summer, it's still sitting in my garage and I haven't had time to start that project. When I do, I will also add some sound deadening mats to the doors since I have to remove the door panels anyways. Stay tuned!
But are the Auxito switch backs? I like my daylight running lights to be white and only turn yellow when i use the turn signal. I own the lasfit bulbs because of this reason. It is annoying when hyperflash but i havent found led bulbs that are switchbacks as good as lasfit.
Love your channel btw, I think i have bought everything you've reviewed here so keep up the great work!
Thanks for the support! Auxito does have a set of white/amber 7443 switchbacks but it's doesn't have built-in load resistors so I'm not sure if they will hyperflash instantly.
auxito.com/collections/7443-led-bulb/products/7443-switchback-led-bulb
when u get hyperflashing. do u get warning lites on ur dashboard errors? canbus? i hoping i don't get any dash errors using auxito bulbs!
@@kleptodathief3946 No warning lights or dashboard errors, it will just blink faster as if the bulb burned out
Thanks man, I found you on Toyota Nation. 2023 ltd HiHy and and the black package auxito looks very right. I think the yellow package must be so bright! Tried the 4 and works awesome.
Thanks for the support, you should consider joining our FB modders group and see what other Highlander owners have customized!
I’m having the same issues on my 22 civic hatch with the lasfit
Hi, can you please make a night time video with those auxito turn lights , thanks
Are you a member of our Facebook modders group? I can post a short night time video for you there.
So are the AUXITO yellow box brighter than the black box? and are the AUXITO yellow box still not as bright as the lasfit bulbs?
Auxito Yellows are brighter than Lasfit putting out 2400 lumens. The Auxito Blacks put out 1200 lumens which is still brighter than the OEM halogen but bright enough not to blind other drivers.
@@vietbubbleteaI ordered the yellow ones! One more question for the highlander does it use a 7443 switchback or a regular 7440 for the front turn signal? Like do I need to order a switchback bulb?
@@vietbubbletea like when you turn on your low beams at night do the original turn signals also light up at all or do they only light up when you use your turn signal
@@MikeM952 It depends on the trim level, if you have a Limited/XSE/Platinum then 7440 single filament is the bulb to use since the turn light bulbs only turn on when you signal. If you have XLE or lower, the bulb acts like a DRL and is on constant, this is where a 7443 dual filament may work but it may also require an additional resistor to avoid hyperflashing.
@@vietbubbletea I have the platinum hybrid like you! Thanks for letting me know!
2 years later and it seems like the trend is just bumping up the brightness not matter these days, as well as projecting out from the top of the bulbs as well. I've already ordered a full set of bulbs for my car so I'll have to wait and see how good/bad it is going to be because I also don't want to be that annoying person who blinds everyone. I just want to be seen, so my suspicion is that the AUXITO 7507 LED Bulbs I ordered for my rear turn signals might be too bright as reviews does indicate. I just want to see for myself.
How do you keep your engine so clean?
I take no credit since I haven't done much other than wipe it down once and a while. I admit that after owning my car for 1.5 years, I've only driven 5K miles plus it's a hybrid so I'm sure that may have contributed to my clean looking engine bay. lol
The Auxito (white) didn’t work for my ‘23 Highlander. The turn signals worked but the parking lights did not.
Interesting, did you trying reversing the polarity on the bulb and still nothing?
Hi, quite a bit of time has passed since the last video you uploaded, and not all I understood about what your next video is going to be I would love to know and of course see. Thank you for everything.

@@vietbubbletea I'm sorry but I do not have Facebook, my son signed up for you on Facebook and he uploads things I installed for my car 🚙.
@@vietbubbletea By the way the price is not cheap at all and it also does not ship to anywhere except the US and Canada
@@צביקהשטרן-ג9ט That works too! Lol good son!
@@צביקהשטרן-ג9ט Certainly there are cheaper LED bulbs you can buy but I do not have experience with their long term bulb quality especially regarding the hyperflash test I did with the Auxito and Lasfit bulbs. It's good to know Auxito backs it's products from defects with a 2yr warranty. 95% of my audience is in North America so I apologize if some ofy sponsors don't ship overseas, maybe you can find them on Amazon or AliExpress.
The store does not offer the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
It's the same for all 2020 - 2023 Highlanders (gas and hybrids). You just need to confirm which trim level you have to determine if you need 7440 single filament or 7443 dual filament depending if you turn signals also act as DRLs.
@@vietbubbletea cool deal. I’ll have to take a look. Thanks.
When doing these kinds of reviews especially with led bulbs I highly suggest you invest in a 10$ infrared temperature gauge to monitor the exterior housing temps and also occasionally the overall temp of the entire bulb while it’s working or just pull it out immediately right after a few minutes of use to get a hot reading. People need to understand all this stuff at the end of the day comes from China and it’s all low quality controlled and some of the best led bulbs burn down peoples cars! I just want you guys to be careful when doing these installs not trying to scare anyone away as it’s the same reason I’m here myself lol but I’ve had my lesson in the past and had tail light housing basically warp from excessive heat and distort ever so slightly which I thought was crazy at the time. I only changed the expensive taillights for a new oem pair once a couple people standing close to my car also noticed the warped taillight lenses and it was at this point where I knew i f’d up and had to pay the price and as the saying goes, bite the bullet!
****MAIN TAKEAWAY HERE: make sure if you are using some type of corner lamp/brake light led bulb replacement that if it will be a light that is going to be constantly powered on to be mindful of that location and specific use during that install. Like as in the case of this video the op uses them only as a turn signal, and it remains off once the flasher turn signal is not in use, this means your probably ok for most applications like the video however if you plan to use these high powered led bulbs as for example say the DRL or tail lights which remain constantly on, please keep an eye on the operating temperatures to prevent damage to your vehicle and yourself! Have a trained mechanic install them if you are unsure please this is not a joke. It sound simple to use grease monkeys but you the average joe I just made it sound like hell about to unleash and believe me a fancy light isn’t worth taking a chance! Peace
I see you used 7440 a single filament? On my 2023 highlander my front bulb is a hT7444 NA a dual filament noted by 3 wires on socket. So how can your number work with one filament? i would think you have no low light but only high light working
My 2021 is a Platinum trim where the turn bulbs don't act as DRLs and remain off when the car is turned on. The Platinum/Limited/XSE trim all have separate white DRL accents under the headlight so single filament works just fine. Do you have an XLE trim? If so, I could see why you may require dual filament since the front turn bulbs are always on and alternate brighter when you signal.
Hey so I noticed on the site it says the numbers for both the rear and the front. So anyone of these bulbs could go on either side? I don’t need a specific rear light and front light?
Correct! They'll work in the front/back and left/right side interchangeably. I used amber 7440s all around.
Hi…. I had a question. On your car with the auxito turns do you encounter the speed signs icon on the dash that when you toggle down to the second icon on the left does your speed sign drop down just from below the two lines are just below the lane departure lines when I toggle up to the top menu icon the speed sign goes back up on top of the split line
Hi Frank, I'm not sure if I fully understand your question but the speed sign icon shows up in my HUD, and dashboard in two areas in the upper right side. (Its always displayed in mpg mode and compass mode in my Platinum trim)
Hi. What I was asking last night it’s all good. When I removed the auxito bulbs it did the same thing so Now I know it’s normal what mine was doing.
@vietbubbletea
I bought the auxito - 7440 42 led chip ones and they are super bright on 1500k. Strong rich amber.
One thing though, have u ever get pulled over for having super bright led turn signals?
I mean, these increase safety and better. Exaclty like those yellow that I have.
I've never been pulled over in the two years that I ran both Lasfit and Auxito LEDs. I do admit that the Auxito Yellows are brighter than the Blacks which only has 24 LED chipset so I put them in the rear to avoid blinding drivers behind me and put the Yellows in the front.
@@vietbubbleteathat’s great to hear that. Sorry I just saw ur comment reply.
@vietbubbletea
Hey how’s goin man?
Just wondering, have u got any issues with ur 7440 auxito yellow bulbs?
Any issues like led diode flickering or burned out temperarily and then they light up again after they cool down?
Are u still running them with no issues?
I ask because I had them in my 2015 lifted Scion xB, for 3 months and I love it. But this morning I come across seeing one of the led diodes flickering and other diodes burned out. But after cool them off. Now they work all full blast of light flashing.
@toyotabrony I still have the Auxito Yellows and they're still running strong! No flickering or hyperflashing so far, if you're starting to have issues, the bulbs are still under warranty and I'm sure the company can send you a replacement set.
@@vietbubbletea yeah definitely. And I’m very glad to hear urs still holds up very well.
A 2 year warranty is better than 1. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
One of my Auxito blacks stopped working. I emailed the company as the bulb is still under warranty. Just waiting for a reply from them.
@@franciscotsevas2732 how long u had them?
@@franciscotsevas2732 if u had them for few months to a year? U still got another year left. Remember, all the auxito led lights are 2 year warranty
I have the 2022 Highlander Le and really want to do this, but for the front the amber light stays on as a parking light so do the leds do the same? Stay on when headlights are on and blink when turn signal is?
Thanks
Yes, if your turn light bulbs are wired to also be DRL, the LEDs will work the same. You have the additional option to get 7443 switchback bulbs that are constant white and blink amber when you signal if you prefer that lighting patterns or just stick to amber/amber.
Thanks for the reply! I had switchbacks but the issue was people think I have my high beams on so I’m switching to amber/amber
do you need to install load resistors? I just installed the auxito 7443 Amber & White and they still hyper flashes when signal.
The bulbs in my review have built in resistors and don't hyperflash. You bought the switchbacks that alternate between amber/white and those don't have built-in resistors. If it's Auxito, they mention this in the product description on their website so you may need to buy additional 50W 6ohm load resistors which they sell on their website to stop the hyperflashing.
www.auxito.com/collections/decoder/products/50w-6ohm-load-resistor
Do you still have these in your vehicle?
How have they held up?
Yes, still have them on and still going strong 5 months later
You're kids are so cute :-)
