- The convers+ display would show the boot open all the time due to an internally broken wire on the boot wiring loom. This meant that the dead locks would not activate, the wing mirror lights would stay on for about 5 minutes and every time a passenger opened the door to get in, the audible warning would sound, these things finally got annoying after about two years of putting up with it, thinking it would be too expensive to get it fixed professionally and too difficult to figure out on my own, but as you will see in this video I got there in the end, thank God for that, everything is now back to normal and probably saved a couple of hundred quid too.

I have the same problem in my Mahindra XUV 500 W8 it says boot open while it gets locked but it sounds annoying. Thanks to your video now i know my problem and will fixed it up myself :)

Hi I’m having same problem but three of the black cables from the sensor have broken in the grommet 😒, would you by any chance know what the other black cables are and their correlating number on the green plug ?
I don't know what those are sorry, there are some lights on the boot lid, check all your lights are working, start at the wire nearest the faulty light and follow it back to the grommet, then switch that light on and off, with a multimeter check which of the broken wires become live when you switch the light on.

Hello man,i have same problem on my Mondeo. How can i open the trunk if actuator fails?
I tried to open when i was inside trunk but i can not touch actuator.
Also i tried to remove carpet from trunk door but when it closed i did not .
If you have some advise i willl be gratefull to share it with me.

@@406xud Lay down on your shoulders in trunk compartment.
Unscrew actuator bolts from trunk.
Opened trunk from outside with force.
I have change defect wires with new one. They were 3 cutted wires.
All done.
@@asd1161 just finished fixing mine, 6 broken wires, bad design, thanks for the tip
