    I really like how the tower can be broken down and rebuilt. Its a versatile playable piece. That makes a lot of buildings in the future that can be broken down that way for gaming. Ty for the awesome idea🤔

      @@TabletopWitchCRAFT I can so understand that, especially when you are working on a longer campaign, developing "destruction" is super important for character movement and development along the way and you add enemies to the ruins that would make a awesome and fun campaign addition. I really like the out of the box ideas you come up with. They are so helpful and informational.

    this is so awesome!
    the possibility of the rubble part to be modular (perhaps?... fruit for thought...) opens up so many opportunities!
    when it comes to running a campaign, the visual impact on the players must be huge - the background story you can create for the buildings, maybe they've been in that place before it was destroyed and now they SEE what happened.
    as usual, i saw your build and loved every minute of it! keep it up!
    ps: one day i'm gonna make the sewer tunnels you made earlier... that's one of my dream builds, without a doubt!

    • @TabletopWitchCRAFT

      Awesome Miguel! Yeah such a cool idea... having a homecoming of my heroes .... but the town is now destroyed! Talk about an emotional impact on the players! The sewer tiles are a fun build for sure... plenty of replay value out of those as well.

    Every tavern, house or building should be made with two-three detachable roofs:
    1) One plain and whole
    2) One rotten and or destroyed, so you can see in. Maybe you don't need 30 spare rotten roofs. But it is quite striking.
    3) Most importantly; a snow covered roof. Your entire village can then be displayed as a "Christmas Village" during the Holidays.

      It needed all the "pieces" in place:
      * Modular terrain instead of monolithic pieces
      * Magnets
      * All the tools to easily craft pieces like this
      * The need to destroy terrain already seen before
      * The spark of creativity
      Those probably hadn't been together before very frequently, i bet others had thought about it but missing at least one of the "pieces" they considered it and said "Naaaah...", then John came along and had them all and said "Hmmm, wouldn't it be cool if..." and there we go, awesome terrain we hadn't seen before!

    I use Google Sketchup to make a plan for my projects, but your templates look way more legit. What program do you use?

    • @TabletopWitchCRAFT
      @TabletopWitchCRAFT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All you need is something that can do simple linework... grab a simple CAD program from a store like Staples and you're good to go.

    Although it looks aesthetically pleasing, I'm a bit bother by the huge amount of rubble in comparison to the size of the tower itself unfortunately. I don't believe the 2 fallen walls and half roof would make such a volume...
    Btw, to add a bit more complexity to it, you could add wood planks in the rubble as there would surely be some inside the tower, or even some sticky from the roof, as it would have been use as a support structure to the stone.

      The rubble landed on a merchant stand propped up against the tower completely demolishing it that's why it's so tall... and the tower has a vertical ladder leading to the top ... that got demolished too ... I love fantasy builds :)

    How do you come up with these ideas man it's amazing, I will be honest, ever since I got a 3d printer I have gotten lazy an I need to get back into building again.

    • @TabletopWitchCRAFT
      @TabletopWitchCRAFT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      :) Thanks Garth !! There's nothing wrong with that 3D printer... but I get you. Build something that requires some bits and pieces from stuff you print as well. Combine the two things you like to do !!

    actually a trebuchet would likely do this kind of damage to a stone fort than a catapult....
