It should be noted that this footage was shot in the old factory in Normandy. This unfortunately no longer exists. Following the takeover of the brand by British investors in 2012, British management and cost-cutting was imposed, eventually resulting in the closure of the Normandy factory - and that rundown is a story in itself. Apparently there was much bitterness and resentment when the new regime replaced the old. Nowadays, Le Chameau production is mostly concentrated in Morocco, where there has been a factory of one type or other since about 1948.
Thank you for enlightening us about this case. Online it says Le Chameau is a Luxury French Wellington Boots, promoted as French but in fact it is a British brand? And also it is still made in Casablanca, Morocco? 🤔
@Saba15-t9d : its history is French, but today's Le Chameau has been British since 2012 when the brand was bought by the British investment group Marwyn for a reported £15 million from its previous owner, the Lafuma Group. The factory in Casablanca has existed since the 1940s.
