If you are doing this with only one side jacked up, you will have to compress the suspension once you remove the first nut to remove the pressure placed on it from swaybar (since the other side of your vehicle is being compressed). Just place a second jack under your suspension and compress the suspension a little. You will see when the swaybar link is free to be removed. Then replace and then lower the secondary jack.

How do you know when you have to replace the sway bars? Do you always replace the entire thing or can you replace bushings separately, just tighten them down, etc..?
    thank you.

For the old sway bar links, I just put a vise grip on the inside of the link to prevent it from spinning. Does the same job as the Allen key but easier cause I just take an impact gun to the nut on the other side.

Beautiful video. It's actually showing not everything will happen according to plan. I'll let the wd40 sits overnight and clean those Allen wrench hole with wire brush. Hopefully I won't round anything.

The screams of the dammed in the background really tops this amazing tutorial off.

Fooey! I tried this for a whole day! Doesnt hold that outside sleeve! Ended upbcutting and grinding them out! Thats why they sell the struts and swaybars together!

I'm getting up to speed on how to do this myself and I figured I might as well change the links while replacing the shocks...don't know what they even do but it seems more practical
