Mitch, I lived the first 30 years of my life in the north. I ended up in SC and I am very happy. I still have friends up north, and I respect all of you that are tough enough to live there. I just don’t know how I lasted long enough to move.

Hi Frank I have only lived here for 13 years my first 37 years I lived in SF Bay Area in Northern California. I don’t know what is worse all the people in California or How cold it gets here in Minnesota 🤪 I guess I will stay until I figure it out. 😂 Thanks for watching and Enjoy living in a warmer climate 😁👍🚜💨🥶PS: I don’t like the rusty vehicles in Minnesota. I miss the clean cars in California.

This was a great video, thanks. Our temps do not often get very low but these are great tips. We tend to use an air gun on a compressor to clean out a filter and the tractor but I think your leaf blower is a better idea

Hi Mitch! What a great set of tips delivered with your signature sunny side sense of humor! The cold weather ones don’t really apply to me but I couldn’t agree more about diesel treatment for any weather. Great stuff. I also clean my tractor off with a leaf blower. Very effective. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Edward 😁 now that would be a great conversation we could all learn from. Only thing I could do is not let the tractor sit long enough for them to nest in it. 😂 I do use peppermint oil. I use it in my RV. I take an empty water bottle and cut a slice in the side put a paper towel in it and squirt some peppermint oil in it and add more every month. Hope that helps you. Thanks for watching 😁👍🚜💨🍳

Just ran across this video, nice tips thanks bud.
Man if you figure out what actually works let me know too. I do find that if let tractor sit and cool off it's less likely to get nest but still happens. They would prefer a warm space to start with or a space they can consistently return too. I also have poison all over my barn and a cat lol. I've tried dryer sheets, peppermint, baking soda, peanut butter on a stick that is on top a 5 gallon bucket so they fall in and can't get out, tried a lot things. Please let me know if find one that works best

It’s like we share the same brain. All these are great ideas and maintenance tips thanks for sharing. I have one for winter snow blowing. When I put my tractor away I put a small space heater in front of it to melt all the ice and snow off the snow blower. Usually only takes an hour or so , and then it’s good to go again for the next storm. Cheers, Mike

Thanks for sharing your experience. I live in northern New York's Adirondack mountains. I'm not sure we get as cold as you but -25 happens. I don't use my tractor in the severe cold but I keep my grapple on in the winter for storm tree work. Loved the outtakes😂.

Morning yeah -25F is cold enough 😂 it seems to depend which way the wind is blowing. If it’s coming from the north it’s cold. 🥶 I don’t have a grapple I plan on making one. I like watching guys like you that have grapples use them for tree work. Thanks for watching and have a great day 😁👍🚜💨🍳

I remembered another tip... Spray on a Tire Shine spray to your snowblower or blades to keep the snow from sticking. The stuff I use is "More shine" by Stoner car care. You just spray it on and give it time to set. Snow won't stick.

Hello Mitch. I am using Howes Diesel Treatment, but would like to use Hot Shots Secret Diesel Treatment. I have not yet found a dealer in our area. From what I have learned, it has the best additives for our diesel engines. With the removal of the amount of sulfur from diesel fuel, additives that increase lubricity have become very important to prolong engine life. Hot Shots scores very high in lubricity. Have a great weekend, Ben
