    Let’s not act like his injury didn’t change up history. Westbrook, Harden, Curry, Kyrie, and whoever else didn’t wanna see D Rose. If that injury didn’t happen, he’d have some of those accolades that some of these players have now.

      if he never got injured, Steph wouldn't have broken out the way he did because Rose as another superstar. The game might not have shifted so heavily to 3's like it did, or at least not as fast

      No people clearly overrate him, and especially his MVP season. Just because he wasn't good and had potential doesn't mean they don't/ didn't overrate how good he was

    • @datpoint
      @datpoint 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@holdmyweight3597 it’s not overrate when the whole league says the exact same thing. No injuries, Rose literally would’ve had a better career whether he won a couple of championships or not. His MVP season wasn’t overrated because Noah and Boozer were literally injured half the season and he still led them to the best record.

    I think the mere fact that DRose was doing work in the gym, perfecting his finishing ability and his jumpshot, makes me think that even if the league had transition to 3 point shooting, he would still dominate hadn't been for injuries. One testament to that is seeing what Ja is doing right now. Steph and Kyrie could still be a top 2 and 3 because of their skillset, but DRose would be number 1 no question cause the things he kept on improving on as the season progressed during his prime.

      Rose played only 2 really great seasons before the injury, scratching the surface of his prime. Yet he's respected by everyone in the league like he won a couple of championships.. It speaks volumes.

    I would say that Rose might have started the dominant point guard theme in some ways. Westbrook was showing that earlier in his career. Rose was very good in his prime. I do feel that at the time he was amongst the top 10 players, from 2009-2010 to 2011-2012, possibly.

    Derrick Rose was the Nipsey Hussle of the league. The champ that the people wanted to see win. Under dog as well.

    D-Rose is the one of the greats he just never got the chance to get the resume for the paperwork. Either way young players should look to him for his on and off court conduct. Silent assassin, he didn’t talk much he let his game talk.

    I also feel that he was at best a low end superstar. He could have been better likely if he had not gotten injured. During that time John Wall, Deron Williams and Chris Paul were also dominant. Steph Curry and Kyrie Irving were developing during that time. I also think that Rose might have peaked early.
