The absolute raw emotion in the singing invokes my own, the immaculate pacing and in every little movement of the two, the gorgeous stylisation and design they're drawn in. Everything about this animation is utter, pure perfection. I only hope and dream to make an animation half as worthy as yours. My heart can't take the absolute and pure love these two share with each other. It's beyond human, it's truly eternal. 6,000 years of friendship that stemmed from love. (Spoiler for season 2) That love is still strong to this day and in the season 2 finale, Crowley finally expresses it! Unfortunately, Aziraphel is under an enchantment and thus doesn't show his love for Crowley and my heart is in agony!
I don't think he is, I think he's just shocked and thinks, as he's said, that Crowley goes too fast for him. Plus, he's been indoctrinated by Heaven for so long, and he still likes their validation and praise. He hasn't come to the same realisation about Heaven being toxic yet. He tells Crowley he needs him, that they can rule Heaven *together*. His idea of their relationship becoming romantic is in the context of being angels together. Crowley's is going off together, with the, 'precious, fragile existence' they've carved out for themselves. They have contrasting ideas of what their partnership could look like, and Azriphale needs to make the realisation that Heaven is toxic on his own, and defy them with his love for Crowley.

Ok so I'm not sure if you'll see this or not but I need to express my love for this. I've loved Ben Platt's "In Case You Don't Live Forever" for a very long time. It has a special place in my heart, and is one of my all-time favorite songs. I only found Good Omens rather recently, in fact I don't even really remember how exactly I did, but I fell in love with them. Sadly I don't have Amazon Prime, so I can't watch the series, and neither can I purchase the book at this moment. I've never been a very religious person, in fact I don't really believe in the Christian God. But Good Omens and their dorkiness has simply captured my heart. They bring me immense joy and it's lovely. And then I found your animatic and I am just.. In awe. I never thought an animatic could be this fluid and just perfect. Every frame is stunning. It just floors me how beautiful the whole thing is. I don't think I've ever seen a better and more beautiful animatic than this. Every part is just so heart wrenching and also so very gorgeous. The emotion on Aziraphale's face in the first half of the animatic, and Crowley's in the second half, are so... just.. Words can't describe how excellent your facial expressions are. And the lip-synching! That is just phenomenal! Crowley holding and touching Aziraphale's book at 1:21, and then flashing to Aziriphale himself, and Crowley looking at him, and the way you made Crowley's eyes move perfectly to express his feelings is just brilliant. And Crowley hugging the book to him at 1:38 causes me to tear up each and every time. It's perfect. The feather transition at 1:47 is gold! It's so wonderfully executed as well. 1:52 the fluidity of their clothes and hair moving is so satisfying. I also love the "look up to you and I see one" and Crowley is looking to Aziraphale. Their expressions here are also just fantastic. And the confession.. I love how tentative Az (Aziraphale of course, it was just getting to be a lot to type) is at 2:03 to hold Crowley's hand with both of his. And how Az' head and face moves as he speaks at 2:08 is just so good I love it so much. And how Crowley hugs him at 2:16. Just gathering him into his arms so tenderly. Crowley raising his head at 2:23 is so fluid and nice I love it. And the kiss at 2:26 is just the cherry on top. The way they collide and Crowley's slight movement backwards is so amazing. And the way Crowley melts into the kiss is just... my heart is bursting. And the end... I'm not entirely sure what the papers are, another drawback of not watching the show itself, but the way they're looking at each other at 2:40 is so sweet. And the hands and forehead touching just tie it all together. Honestly this whole animatic makes my heart warm. You did such an amazing job with this.
I saw the thumbnail and thought maybe it was some fan work with colors to the original, and then I was shocked at the low view and like count until I saw how recently I was posted and that you said you made the original. I’m glad I saw this so early! I was in a room with a few people, so I had to force myself not to cry whilst watching this! This is so beautiful. The way the characters move and how they express their emotion is wonderful. I am in awe every time I watch this. This is truly a masterpiece in my opinion, and I will definitely watch this for a very very very long time. The kiss at 2:26 between Aziraphale and Crowley was just amazing. I adore the way that Aziraphale was the one to kiss him first! (I just found that so cute🥺💖💖😇) And Crowley looking a little surprised and then closing his eyes and putting his hand around Aziraphale's hair to just kiss was especially what tugged at my heartstrings!! I have the biggest smile right now! This really came together beautifully. This is just so cool to see! The scenes you chose to include here fits the song and the story so well. And, honestly, there are some scenes that have just as much or more of an impact than the show has. Not that the show doesn't do a fantastic job, but I feel like this makes the scenes more immediate and personal. For example, the bookshop fire scene. I think it may have something to do with being able to see Crowley's eyes and getting that full expression. The transitions between scenes are really lovely. I especially like the one that leads us from the pocket dimension with Adam to Aziraphale tugging on Crowley's hand as Crowley turns to leave. The timing on this is great, too. Not only were you able to get the lipsynch spot on, but everything has a nice smooth feel to it. It's very well-paced, including the reactions between the two of them at the end. It feels natural. Finally, I just want to say that the ending is really sweet. I love the shot off of the balcony and how nicely it moved through the years. I really admire you and your art. It takes a heck of a lot of work to make something like this.
Why does this feel like canon? Like, you so accurately captured when they both fell in love with each other (Az: after Cr gave him the books prob, and Cr: in the middle of their very first conversation!) I just feel like this is how it would go down in the actual second season! I CANT WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT!!! Edit: after having watched s2 and cried the reasonable amount, I’ve now realized that Az probably fell in love in the middle of their ACTUAL first conversation, in the nebula, and after the fall, their kind of second-first conversation is still probably where Cr began to like Az. I was in a room with a few people, so I had to force myself not to cry whilst watching this! This is so beautiful. The way the characters move and how they express their emotion is wonderful. I am in awe every time I watch this.
This is truly a masterpiece in my opinion, and I will definitely watch this for a very very very long time.
The kiss at 2:26 between Aziraphale and Crowley was just amazing. I adore the way that Aziraphale was the one to kiss him first! (I just found that so cute🥺💖💖😇) And Crowley looking a little surprised and then closing his eyes and putting his hand around Aziraphale's hair to just kiss was especially what tugged at my heartstrings!!

This really came together beautifully. This is just so cool to see! The scenes you chose to include here fits the song and the story so well.
And, honestly, there are some scenes that have just as much or more of an impact than the show has. Not that the show doesn't do a fantastic job, but I feel like this makes the scenes more immediate and personal. For example, the bookshop fire scene. I think it may have something to do with being able to see Crowley's eyes and getting that full expression.
The transitions between scenes are really lovely. I especially like the one that leads us from the pocket dimension with Adam to Aziraphale tugging on Crowley's hand as Crowley turns to leave.
The timing on this is great, too. Not only were you able to get the lipsynch spot on, but everything has a nice smooth feel to it. It's very well-paced, including the reactions between the two of them at the end. It feels natural.
Finally, I just want to say that the ending is really sweet. I love the shot off of the balcony and how nicely it moved through the years.
I really admire you and your art. It takes a heck of a lot of work to make something like this.

Why does this feel like canon? Like, you so accurately captured when they both fell in love with each other (Az: after Cr gave him the books prob, and Cr: in the middle of their very first conversation!) I just feel like this is how it would go down in the actual second season! I CANT WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT!!!
Edit: after having watched s2 and cried the reasonable amount, I’ve now realized that Az probably fell in love in the middle of their ACTUAL first conversation, in the nebula, and after the fall, their kind of second-first conversation is still probably where Cr began to like Az.
