Once called Mount Takama or Mount Takama, Mount Kongo Jinshuho has an elevation of 1,125 meters.
Mount Kongo is known as the mountain where En no Gyoja, the founder of Shugendo, practiced his asceticism.
It is said that En no Gyoja practiced his asceticism on this mountain from the age of 16, about 1,300 years ago, and traveled to sacred mountains all over the country.
Near the summit is Tenporin-ji Temple, which En no Gyoja is said to have founded, and nearby is Katsuragi Shrine, which enshrines Ichigotonushi.
Mount Kongo today has a unique system for recording the number of times you have climbed the mountain, which is not often seen on other mountains.
If you purchase a number of climbs card, you can get a number of climbs stamped at the summit after each climb.
There are Kongo Training members who have climbed the mountain more than 100 times, and some who have already climbed the mountain more than 10,000 times.
Climbing from the Nara side requires a detour (due to typhoons).
The endless grassy path takes more than 5 hours one way,
so you may get lost,
and even if you manage to get back on the route,
there is a chance that the sun will set on the way,
so it seems to be a tough course for anyone but an advanced rider.
There have been reports of wild boars being seen.

この時期から人の少ない時間に走ろうとするとまだ暗いですよね、怖くて走れないです😅やはり神が宿るのか全てが荘厳に感じる。終わりがけの霧も良い味出てますね☺️

金剛山は今まで行った、
他の山とはまた雰囲気違いました。
曇ってたのもありますが、
