The reason he was grabbing one at a time, is because you load bunk logs, and build it up. Then throw your short logs in the center. Then repeat the process. Loading a log truck is an art form. Everyone talking crap about this operator couldn't load a truck in 3 hours.
facts I think half these jokers are east coast "loggers" that load trucks with intermediate bunks you can just throw wood at and they stay in the bunks... west coast trucks you try that and the reach will get bent or you'll be dropping logs on the highway.
Loading cut to lenght logs can be a pain in the ass, let alone tree length like the ones this guy is loading, If we think for a bit we can esily come to the conclusion this logs exert some great force on crane booms and they cant be rotated mid air like tree lenght logs, Im not a loader operator and I can see this guy is a good operator, he loaded quite a lot of wood in three minutes.
The log bunks pivot, both on the truck and on the trailer, the stinger and compensator counter steer the trailer, allows for taking crazy sharp narrow corners. everything moves and shifts for every corner but still stays stable, its a little weird to think about but its a damned good system.

#1 reason is the logs hold the truck and trailer together while loaded !! It damm well better be perfect probably only took 15-30 minutes to load max
