This really serves as a reminder of how hype G era units really were - the upscaling of the animation quality for Chronojet/Nextage gave me the same goosebumps as the G finale, absolutely amazing. This is HANDS DOWN the best episode since the reboot. It is so great in many aspects. I can totally see why Shinemon arc is favored by many, and I sincerely hope Gaiden-IF continues its greatness. Not a big fan of rebooted version of Ibuki though.

Hoo boy. Chrono flopping straight back to bed was hilarious. As well as Dran grabbing him and tossing him back to the ground. And Shion didn't recognize Chrono even with that hair, lol. And those parts with Rive were so sad!
It's sad that people will still say the reboot sucks. Complain about the quality of the cardfights and the animation because those are legitimate criticisms BUT the reboot succeeds where it matters the most, in the strength of its themes and the portrayal of its characters and their interactions. These characters feel human, they have a wide array of emotions, they have struggles and challenges they try to overcome. It's not about the cardfights but the human stories behind them. Shinemon continues the tradition of a young man overcoming loss and growing from a child to an adult. His ultimate goal is not to be the greatest shop keeper or to be a great pro fighter. Just a guy who hopes to pass on a little wisdom to the younger generation and foster their imagination. Excellent ending to the Shinemon arc and I have no doubt the next IF arc will be special in its own way and contribute to widening the world of the V series.

Oh my god that last scene with Chrono and Shion crossing paths!! Hnnngggg, I seriously hope for a G Reboot after -IF Gaiden-. This episode was the perfect closure for the Shinemon arc. I gotta be honest, I didn't think I'd enjoy watching Shinemon as much as I actually did this entire season. I was so used to Chrono and Aichi I thought there'd be no room for one more MC but Itou proved me wrong. The entire saga was perfect from start to finish. The characters were fleshed out and lovable, including returning casts and Shin's development was just fulfilling to watch. I'm so glad he's more involved in the plot now as well. V series definitely surpasses the OG in my opinion. I look forward to the last episode!
I do love the V series but overall, I still have to give it to the OG timeline While the fleshing out of the characters do justice for Shinemon to make them well liked, the shortened Cardfights are still another downside where we missed out on a good amount of action. Plus, Aichi and the others in the manga timeline here in the V Series Reboot are honestly not as developed as they are in the OG series. Aichi won too much, he didn’t struggle as much, and felt too much like a Gary Stu compared to his Og counterpart Both have their great ups and also downs, and I’ll definitely love the v series reboot but I just personally prefer the OG timeline
G Reboot will probably take place after Vanguard IF . IF series will probably end with Ibuki finding the Chronojet deck and placing it in Chrono's shoe locker. Then transitioning to G Reboot.

See I always preached having a good anime over a gloried after for the game and this arc has really seen it through while still being an ad in a sense. If the anime keeps going like this in the future it’s just gonna get better and better garnering even more attention. Thanks OLM and Bushi for making this a great watch. Finally a season that has beat Season 1.

Gonna miss Shinemon arc, Shin is honestly my favorite protagonist so far, the story being more daily stuff thats the charm of the original season is really refreshing and it helps that unlike Chrono and Kazuma, Shin isn't a very direct Naoki clone

so shin is having this shop to show his masters teaching to children. it sounds great in the beginning but it isn‘t. shin is abandoning his dreams for someone who would want the exact opposite. he should have followed his own dreams while keeping a eye on chrono who is rive‘s biggest treasure. his growth as character, which was the main point of the series, is suffering under this one statement. shin withspoken himself so often in this episode. the shin series, which was better then v, was tough to watch. it was a great idea to switch shin with chrono as mc

This was done better than in the original G.. wish Chrono's older voice actor was still present. STILL, this was good passing the torch for the next story.
Only thing I didn't get about this episode was why shinemon didn't attack with valkerion a second time first before his vanguard since it has the pressure of multiple critical where it must be guarded. With the second attack of his vanguard, he puts the pressure with a possible drive check that could have included a critical.

so shin is having this shop to show his masters teaching to children. it sounds great in the beginning but it isn‘t. shin is abandoning his dreams for someone who would want the exact opposite. he should have followed his own dreams while keeping a eye on chrono who is rive‘s biggest treasure. his growth as character, which was the main point of the series, is suffering under this one statement. shin withspoken himself so often in this episode.
the shin series, which was better then v, was tough to watch. it was a great idea to switch shin with chrono as mc

This was done better than in the original G.. wish Chrono's older voice actor was still present. STILL, this was good passing the torch for the next story.
Only thing I didn't get about this episode was why shinemon didn't attack with valkerion a second time first before his vanguard since it has the pressure of multiple critical where it must be guarded. With the second attack of his vanguard, he puts the pressure with a possible drive check that could have included a critical.
