Was on stubble last week around 6 inches had an amazing French Jetton with so much detail and my son in law was on fire with 3 hammered coins buckles etc it was hard going but was so happy to be on the fields again 😊 your cut quarter looked brilliant 🤩 hope you had a lovely break 😊

That's basically the bottom line isn't it grassy and as long as you don't mind not finding stuff and if it's a lovely day etc. I think the combine driver must've have had a drink that day they would've lost I'm not and lost hey I would've thought but they're all automated now anyway it's like flying a drone I think! Yes I would put smaller coil and push through it! That’s what the coil cover is for. Saying that I’m now on manticore so where on earth 🌍 is the choice of coils errr
if you find stuff it's worth it 👍. I dont 8 hrs in stubble this last week and got a button and a bag full of lead lol. the ground has either got it or it hasn't I guess, but the long stubble doesn't help. 😕

Excellent result to pull up a cut quarter mate, I don't mind the stubble, I usually switch over to the smaller 9 inch coil on the Deus lite as I find it much easier especially on the rape stubble.....looking forward to seeing the steady flow of films again, remember to give me a shout when your up in the Borders, I see you was up the Waterloo monument a while ago on your Instagram, got permission on a lovely estate around there😉👍

@HolzhammerLite all good thanks, belongs to the Lothian estates and you can grab a key from the office at Bonjedward if you fancy walking up the top, great views, also built on iron age settlement/ fort, as with most hilltops around this way are stuffed with iron and bronze age activities...fingerscrossed for October 👍

Also, you're completely 'at one' with your D1 hey? I'm willing to bet you'd *hate* a D2 for quite a long time before either selling it, or getting used to it, (depending on your patience threshold!...🧐 ) I'm really chuffed that I've managed to keep hold of my Deus 1, and appreciating more what a fanTASTIC machine it is... 😉 🙏

My God if I spend as much time worrying about proper things than whether to get the Deus II or not…

Detecting on stubbles has one main profit - youre first here after harvest. Only crazy addicted diggers can do it ! Other sides of stubble is a complete disaster )))) But if farmer will burn stubbles and take a pause before cultivation.........god bless him forever !
Gosh I remember burning the stubble when I was a child absolutely amazing and quite good fun Flames everywhere we haven't been allowed to do that for many years now though… hope all well with you and thanks for watching

Sorry Sharon - of course i love getting updates!!!! Sorry not to have got back the last four weeks I have been in sole charge of my six year old - he is rather time consuming and all sorts of things have not been dealt with - I have three days off and then he's coming back tomorrow! Deepest apologies for not getting back I would have done much sooner under different circs! Its also the reason I haven't been detecting or making films in about a month! xxx
Ok Ally ☺ , If looking after a six year old Son is as tiring as looking after a 6 month old Jack Russell called Merlin 😉,you must be very tired after the teenage years its gets easier lol ! 😂🤣the quiet times for us are when Merlin is oh so obedient for toast dipped in my tea at breakfast and at 9pm when he crashes out and falls asleep like and angel on his special blanket between Terry and Me ,every thing in between is panic..ball games..zooming ( not us ) walks..taking things out of his mouth...checking his den for lost things and filling in holes !!! lol so much more but just glad it has stopped raining and Merlin is not coming in with 4 black muddy boots and a muddy beard !! Found my one and only gold coin in stubble so have a fondness for it, can tear your forearm to bits though when amongst it with a pinpointer
