Unfortunately these ideas just don't work. For example, when you get your heart broken, that WILL hurt for a few weeks or months. There is no short cut around painful emotions and avoiding them will only make them last longer. Try to let go all you like. Pain waits until it is felt. These methods might work for small life issues like a coworker pissing you off or someone being a dick in traffic but for life's real problems like heart break, disappointment, bereavement etc, you have no choice but to feel the pain. No amount of trying to let go is going to make any difference.

I never said there is a shortcut around emotions. My channel is built around the exact opposite of that, a complete 180 in fact. Letting go doesn't mean avoidance. In fact, when it comes to emotions, letting go aligns with fully embracing what you feel, not pushing them away.
It takes a lot of unnecessary effort to avoid the pain of a heartbreak, which was the example you wanted to use. Controlling an emotion means disrupting it's natural flow and interfering with it. Emotions are not meant to be 'controlled.' Emotions are wild, chaotic, and constantly fluctuating movements of energy. Let go of controlling them and move directly into the flow and movement of them. This is what I'm saying, which is the exact opposite of what you interpreted. Letting go of controlling them allows the energy to move as it wants to, not as you try and manipulate it to.
Letting go involves moving directly into the experience you're having, not pushing it away in order to manipulate experience and grasp onto something you believe you want.
You've misinterpreted the message. These ideas actually do work once you understand it correctly and apply them properly. Again, this is the total opposite of avoidance. My entire channel is literally built on the opposite of avoidance (check out my videos, I always say the exact opposite of your interpretation).

@lucas_segeren feeling all the pain isn't letting go, to me. To me letting go means being OK and not in pain. Instead of saying letting go, let's say feel all the pain and don't avoid it.

A core part of feeling the pain involves letting go of your control of the emotion. I'd recommend rewatching what I actually stated in the video. Emotional well-being is at 7:35.
I also say feel the pain and don't avoid it enough in my videos. There's subtler nuances that need to be communicated, which is exactly what I did in this video. Like letting go of controlling an emotion and allowing its energy to naturally move and run its course. Controlling it actually manipulates and represses it. So you let go of controlling it, which is exactly what this video is about.
This video is about letting go of control and how that actually changes experience for the better in certain contexts, not processing deep emotional pain. I have a multitude of other videos on that subject. I speak about it enough.

@@lucas_segeren anyway I apologise for my comment sounding so negative. You're trying to help people which is a good quality. I really hope it helps people. I'm cynical I guess. Well you don't want to be surrounded by yes men. Good to have enquiry and get people interacting with your content. Good luck ❤️✨

@@emy9272 haha I appreciate the pushback. It's good for people to read. Disagreeing and pushing back can be helpful at times! It can lead to building a clearer idea.
