Hi BoB Jenny,very interesting blog I only live 25 minutes away from Sandringham beautiful part of Norfolk,but be aware you have to pay now to park at Sandringham wear the cafe and shop are think poor old girl is getting hard up ,I used to go there a lot to walk the dog and we would use the cafe but that’s but a end to that ,lol most enjoyable till next time take care keep safe John,🇬🇧🇬🇧🥵🥵🥵👀🍺🌹🥂🥂🥂🦮

Nice drive around the roads to Sandringham Estate park with you guys. Would LOVE to own a motor home myself. Maybe when I retire I will invest in one and travel the UK/Europe.

Welcome to Narfolk :-) We stayed at Sandringham not so many weeks ago and Internet and TV signals a bit rubbish! :-(
Love that part of the country, but why after a long time in lock down, they now decide to do road works LOL
Off here in Feb to celebrate my birthday, was supposed to go this year but Covid ruined that, thanks for video, looking forward to going!
We live close to Kings Lynn and often take the motorhome to Hunstanton for the day. Rest assured Bob, Lynn is an absolute nightmare and we leave home at 7am to get a good passage. Things have got steadily worse over the years.
Nice one again Bob - great tip ref the RaB on A17/A15 - we are going to York from King's Lynn at the week-end so will avoid it, as looks dire no matter what way you hit it. You are right ref going down to Peterborough and approaching KL on the A47; though Highways England are also updating the Guyhurn RaB - so looks as bad as the A17 at the mo! After York we move onto Exmoor C&MHC. Found your approach Video very useful thank you!

Glad to see the weather has improved in Norfolk since we were at Cromer, a few weeks ago. In fact it looks like a different country! We also got caught up in the traffic around the Kings Lynn area - as did everyone else, judging by the comments here. The Sandringham Estate site does look enjoyable - must give it a try.
I was at this site 2 weeks ago and really liked it other than rubbish internet and TV reception. It was well maintained and the staff were very friendly. Shame I missed you both

Oh dear, that’s the norm for Kings Lynn I’m afraid. I have to use that roundabout everyday as I work near the hospital and it’s nose to tail rush hour. And weekends on hot days, it ques all the way to Hunstanton.
Sandringham cmc is a lovely site though.

The roads around Kings Lynn have been absolutely horrendous for years and when you look at it its generally caused by roundabouts, roundabouts where there should really be flyovers to allow the main routes to pass through without stopping. Probably no money to improve them as is generally the excuse. Enjoy your travels and stay safe. 👌💖

Just back from a week at Sandringham …again ….lovely , always quiet. The A17 at Holdingham is closed for various weekends now, so keep an eye on out when planning your route. Going northbound a17 to Newark was closed so I went through Cranwell and rejoined the A17 there. That was fine towing. Kings Lynn….well always terrible ☹️
Great video Bob and Jenny our friends are off there in September, we're currently in Moreton in marsh at 31° absolutely boiling hoping to go somewhere today but if it's to hot it'll be 4th day under the tree in the shade!

Yes, we found a nice shady spot at Incleboro fields, video tonight.
We stayed near to Sandringham estate (self catering) about a month ago visited Castle Rising on a Sunday morning with the intention of having a picnic but by 10:30 am the temperature was 29 degrees and too much for our Westie so walked around castle then straight ‘home’ and yes the tail backs around Kings Lynn were a night mare as some of the lanes were empty as there were not much traffic using them and my first thought was that the highways department need to re assess the roundabouts . Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Long Sutton has a lovely church with a wooden steeple and a lovely little village, use to live in Gedney outside Long Sutton. Hope you enjoyed your stay x

Thanks for the video. Saw our van on your walk around the site, left this morning in the heat. Happy to pass all the traffic heading the other way up to Hunstanton for a day at the seaside. Lovely quiet site but your right the phone reception is terrible. EE non existent. The site WiFi also patchy. Used to not worry us but now that we are leaving our 18 and 20 year olds at home becoming more important to have a reliable signal. Thoroughly enjoyed our week though.
That looks like a nice site, you have certainly picked some hot weather, say cool folks!
I think you should look at having Truma air-con unit fitted on the roof. Been pricing it recently for my own caravan.
Except that it's gone cold now...
Don't dissappear into a puddle, hope your next leg of the journey is not too hot the dogs get a bit grumpy in the heat, looks very nice there, supposed to cool down a bit tomorrow. Have a lovely time & I'll see you all at your next destination xx

Awesome! We were ment to be staying in March this year for my Mum's birthday, but had to cancel sadly due to restrictions. We also had a Sandringham Tour booked and Garden Tickets. I best get back on it! Happy Travels!
School boy humour but why did I want to go "Ahhh" when you were emptying your gray water. Love the weather, I think everybody is a bit frazzled. We worry about our dogs in this heat, a blessing in disguise is that we lost our 18+year old a month ago. We even had AC added to our Estoril in case she was still with us.
Yes, it's the only time I wished we gone for Air-Con

Another great journey in video. Love it. Thanks again for sharing your trips. That Coddington is the old A17 and a good alternative. Sadly roads in Lincs and into Norfolk are always slow going. Enjoy and take care.

Hi Bob, Jenny Poppy& Tara , sat navs are funny :) great hot weather for you , typical we go this weekend coming to Heredfordshire and forecast storms it is a metal detecting w/e too :) What do you think to not wearing masks as of tomorrow? i will still be wearing mine in crowded supermarkets etc untill i see figures, cases seem to be rising more. No we don't have habitation air con, only the air con on the van when we're driving.

What sat nav do you use, Bob? Seems to be pretty good even on the more minor routes? We're hoping to get our first motorhome in the next few years and your videos have been really inspiring and helpful as to what to expect when using sites, travelling etc. Thanks for the effort you put in on these vids!

No, but I'd like to take my own motorhome there.
Do you use a dash cam or a different type of video recording device to record the journey?
I use a GoPro Hero 8 on a suction mount on the windscreen.
Kings lynn has been awful for a fair few years now. I do like the look of both those sites
I think I saw you yesterday about 1pm on the M6 or the M69? Did you have a cover over the front of the VW?
No, we weren't on the M6 yesterday and don't have a cover for the Up!
Hi Bob,yes it is Sunday,but can I ask you about black water disposal. In our motorhome the toilet goes straight into a tank (similar to grey water tank) we find it harder to find emptying points even on motorhome club sites. Do you know any way this can be converted to a cassette toilet ( no access from outside) or is there something other than a bucket you can buy to collect waste to empty in chemical disposal points. No I'm afraid I don't , UK sites aren't set up for the sort of black waste tanks they have in the US.
Much prefer your your vlogs, than the very annoying travel trols. They really get on my nerves
