Pal need to do something about the temperature on board, it's like a sauna! They insist that you close the window shutters at night which seals in the heat making the cabin horrible
not much sometime as little as $50-70 The PAL and Qantas fare are close sometime Qantas also goes on sale and is slightly cheaper than PAL . Qantas leaves Sydney later and arrived in Manila later while PAL leaves Sydney earlier and arrives Earlier. Ceb Pac fares are usually the same by the time you do the add on but the seats is more tight on Ceb Pac as they have 9 abreast vs 8 abreast on PAL and Qantas.
The Problem with PAL : Many people cite NAIA makes PR's service worse (as you know congestion etc.), but there is one more factor : Lucio Tan's greediness. He has been a controversial figure even before he acquired PAL. Beginning with monopolizing the Tobacco Industry thanks from the blessing of Former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., the father of the incumbent Ferdinand Jr. a.k.a. "Bongbong", evading PHP 30 Billion worth of taxes (as told by Former President Rodrigo Duterte), and being part of Former President Joseph Estrada's "midnight cabinet" before turning on him by conspiring with fellow Businessmen in ousting him in EDSA 2. Just like any other businessmen, he cares about the profits rather than the service. The best way for PAL to get better and catch up with the best airlines in the world is Lucio Tan stepping down as PAL's majority owner and sell his stake to investors who are willing to make the airline better.
Happened recently in Sydney too, one of my friend flew Sydney to manila and the Plane was one of the A330s with no IFE, I hope they just put this ones on the PAL express fleet and not on the PAL mainline fleet. This is one thing that annoys me too.
