  • Devotees are practicing Tibetan Buddhism in Lubumbashi, Congo. The Buddhist meditation center is dedicated to peace and well-being in the world.
    Tibetan Buddhists started coming to Congo in 1997. Currently, there are about 800 - 1000 Congolese Buddhist and four other affiliated Dharma groups.
    A delegation of Congolese Buddhist devotees met with the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala on Feb. 7, 2024.
