    To unlock smithing parts faster, craft the best you can and then break it all down. Don't worry about breaking down weapons that sell for 5k as you'll very quickly learn the parts that will sell for 20 or 30k.
    As a mercenary, capture lord's that you beat and then give them to a clan members prison. This will get you influence, a ton of charm and relations with the Lord. If you have 7 attributes on social and five skill levels on charm, you can quickly level up charm to be max rank where it gives you 5+ influence per day for free, which means free money for doing nothing. You can also free lords you fight after a battle for charm and relation. Once you're ready to start a kingdom you can go to war with a kingdom of your besties and convert them to your kingdom with your charm, relation and gold.
    I've been playing since release... I should probably make a video about this stuff ;)

    • @DukeAugustine
      @DukeAugustine ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Who sells hardwood? I can turn a single hardwood into 3 charcoal, that I can use to make 60-75k. Selling hardwood for anything under 20k each is a poor investment.

      Those rumors pissed me off to a rage quit. I wanted to try a trader build focusing on leveling trade. Was doing kinda decent, found some velvet being sold "cheap" and saw rumors of it having 5x the price on the other side of the place. Made the dangerous journey and the rumored town was buying them for less than I bought them 😢

    You can easily smith early game It’s the first thing I do when I start a fresh game. Just make 2 handed swords max out the size of everything and you’ll be able to sell them for about 1k or so after a little bit of running back and forth from the villages for raw materials and smithing you’ll start raking in profit and easy levels

    This helped me a lot. Thank you. I was contstantly struggling once i hit close to tier 4 clan and it was time to make a kingdom. I was trying so hard with caravans and workshops, but i couldn't even break even on daily denars when having high tier units in my army which are needed for fighting lords. I was on like my 4th save in a week trying to figure out what i was doing wrong. The smithing method is insanely effective.

    • @ramchiserts8614
      @ramchiserts8614  ปีที่แล้ว

      really glad this helped! No question it is expensive to have a large amount of high tier units and I struggled with it myself at first. I built my kingdom on the back of smithing and I'm sure you can to!

    Loot from merc work isn't bad at all. It's one of the better deals, because it builds renown too and can be done quickly/easily in IRL time if you have some tactics to just win easy fights.

    Don’t be a mercenary or vassal and run caravans. They will rarely get attacked… take over rebel towns once you have enough men. Don’t declare a kingdom. Set low budget for garrison wages… I’m at 20million right now

    I disagree with what you are saying about mercenary work as it is actually a very good source of infinite income if you pick your battles wisely, as if you have a ton of horses and max troops in your party your inventory space is huge and you can carry a ton of prisoners meaning you can ransom lords for huge profits as well as selling all the enemy's loot for huge free profits.

    • @DarthTrae
      @DarthTrae ปีที่แล้ว +1

      War is profitable in this game

    • @chrisrudolf9839
      @chrisrudolf9839 ปีที่แล้ว

      What he meant was probably that the mercenary salary for itself is nothing to write home about, but you are right, becoming a mercenary in the early game enables you to fight lords parties who are hostile to that kingdom (or raid caravans of hostile kingdoms if you are quick enough to catch them) without getting a criminal rating and you can make a huge income from the loot that defeated parties drop and from the prisoners you sell. Those parties drop much better loot than meager bandit parties. The steady mercenary payment from the influcence you gather is just a bonus.

    I made a brewery with a grain village next to the town and I am only making 60 a week from it. Is this normal?

    • @TheSmrtAlec
      @TheSmrtAlec ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Market saturation is a thing in this game even though there are almost no hints to it and no in-game explanations. Try buying out other breweries in the region and converting them and/or manipulate the market by purchasing all the beer in the region to create scarcity. On the flip side keeping grain as cheap as possible in the city you produce beer in will help with profits. Kinda dumb imo wish they were mostly reliable passive income that you could game to make higher profits if you wanted, but it makes workshops more "engaging" I guess.

    Smithing midgame lol you can just start off do a few tournaments and then focus on smithing before you start smithing get a wife and your brother a wife and have them with you its super ez then after smithing is high make some money you can ez make something worth 30-40k a piece then just level up your trading to max you can again ez do this in 30minutes and boom you can buy fiefs
