Just to let you know about categories of plastic. there are different types of plastic containers or bowls are available in the market. I am using #5-grade plastic bowls, which means safe for food storage. plastic # 5 (PP) is a widely used plastic that will hold up well in hot environments and can work well as food storage containers. So there is no issue. you can use ceramic bowls instead of plastic bowls.
