    great video but I thought that 3rd line was corticosteroids alone for UC as per NICE cks?

      You're not actually wrong, but this is one of the few guidelines that NICE CKS actually blurs the lines as opposed to the 'long' guidance.

      Have a look at that, with specific reference to point 1.2. It clearly gives you a step-wise guidance to follow for proctitis, left sided disease and widespread disease and strangely, is more understandable than the CKS summary which basically lists all the options. [NICE Guideline 130 - Updated 2019, to which the CKS summary is derived from]
      In truth, in the exam what you need to deduce is where the pathology is (they will provide the info), and at what step the management is. Hedging my bets here, but the most likely question is going to be related to knowing when topical amino/steroids are used as opposed to oral.
