It was a 14-hour journey to freedom for 3 elephants rescued from Omkoi district. Mho Jae and her baby boy, Jai Dee (official name Sa Ngae) will arrive at Elephant Nature Park, due to the mother requiring medical attention. Moh Jae is a 20-year-old mother to 2 children, and also a landmine victim when she was just 3 years old at the Thai-Myanmar border. The 3rd elephant is Kham Saen, a 5-year-old boy who has been rescued before the owner sold him to a logging camp. Kham Saen was rescued to Elephant Highlands Project, where he was immediately embraced by 3 doting nannies, Mae Pon, Mae KhamPang, and Nong Pop. Learn more: www.saveelephant.org/
So so happy here they were all rescued!! Mum and baby and a young boy! At least these three will have amazing, safe life from now on! No slavery, no crippling work, no hunger...AND they will have family!!.....THANK YOU!!!
Lek and Darrick and their teams are lights in a dark place for elephants. Listening to the owner casually describe the mindless cruelty by himself and others just crushed me. I’m so thankful that Lek and her team do this work, and try to change hearts and minds in her country.

I'm with you 💯, I just didn't want to believe what the owner was saying. It made my blood boil from his cavalier attitude. I wouldn't mind putting him to work for 10yrs with a heavy chain around his neck. 😢
@@NSGca*@yonettemoorgan391* 😮......I've noticed on "these scrupulous dodgy private Elephant owners" uTube channels how the Elephant Mothers have been "inhumanly conditioned" by "humans" as enslaved Elephants - the Elephant mothering tendencies have been "crushed by forced early weaning" much too early in the young lives of their Elephant bull/calves" in nurse-milking - it's more noticable with baby bull calves than baby girl calves how the "bull calves" crave more milk from Elephant Mothers every 30mins-to-1hour & often getting just less than 1minute feed of Elephant momma's milk. To be honest, Elephant momma's aren't eating sleeping relaxing enough thus producing "empty milk sacks" of produced watery milk leaving Elephant babies rejected & frustrated. The Elephant calves turn their backs on Elephant Mothers with their "hungry sad confused faces". A lot of "separation & anxieties" stressed in the faces of both Elephant Mothers & Elephant babies. Elephant baby girl calves fare a bit better than the Elephant baby bulls. The Elephant baby bulls tend to get CHAINED-up outside & on the far side of the "camp/pen" distanced away from CHAINED-up Elephant Mothers to enforce "early forced weaning". These enslaved Elephants are often left in hunger thirst sleep-deprivation dehydration exhaustion sleepy & fainting. These "private callous" Elephant owners are very very very cold manipulative greedy sly in exploiting the needs of their Elephants "human rights" & dignity. Thank God for ENP & their other good rescuing associations & for other rescue sanctuaries such as Herd, David Sheldon & all the other Elephant & other Wildlife Animal rescue sanctuaries🩶🤎💚

Those are not "owners". I call them "sub-species/abusers" . They have no care nor compassion for these elephants. They are very cruel. It's all about the money and greed. Thankfully these 3 are saved. Now the mission is to save more. 🎉❤❤❤love always wins.

It is wonderful what you do on behalf of these magnificent creatures. I wonder if a prosthetic could be made for momma’s leg? To see any elephant free to roam, have good food and the company of others is truly amazing. Thank you to Lek and Derrick for their selfless dedication to elephants.

She stepped on a land mine when she was just 3 years old (0:59) She is now 20 years old (0.57). Very sad. However, it appears she has adjusted and is able to move without restriction now. At this time a prosthetic could be more hindrance than help. Not an elephant expert, just my thoughts.

Such a shame that the elephant, which is a great symbol of Thailand, is allowed to be used for logging and entertainment for humans, by humans, and the Government does nothing.
Yes so sad. The same thing is happening in places like India, Nepal, Sri Lanka. The elephants are symbols, but not revered, which is a sad thing 😢

So sad for this baby is going to suffer from abuse and separation from others. And most of all, the training Will break it's heart. So so pitiful. So sad.

Blue-Sea. I don't know if you've watched any other videos from this place or not, but this little creature is about to get the surprise of its life. There will be wading pools (and later, the river), great big exercise balls, tires and all kind of toys to play with. And a couple of dogs to chase just for good measure. There's also enough food to keep the tummy full at all times.

The ex owner/s put some heavy chains around you body and do some work. I have nothing good to say to the cruel bastard of an owner. I am very angry. Those animals don't belong to them. They belong to God.
